Hotel Bitoraj Fužine

Beautiful hotel in the middle of town. Attentive staff. Appears to be family affair. Very accommodating to English speakers. Very nice restaurant with free breakfast buffet. Outdoor patio and cafe on site.

Nice location along the lake. Convenient when traveling from Istria to Zagreb. Very good blueberry or huckleberry strudel

The location is great, the room is clean and comfortable, parking secured at the location, few minutes walking distance to the nearby lake, good breakfast

Such a shame we only stayed one night! Very large room and fantastic breakfast, everyone very kind.

Staff were courteous without exception. The breakfast was hearty and varied. The parking lot is directly behind the hotel. The restaurant was a great dinner option. Good cycling and hiking options directly from the hotel (it's very close to two lakes), and many more options are an easy drive away.

Would be nice if the restaurant offered more vegetarian and pasta options. Using the hotel parking lot requires some careful maneuvering if your car is a minivan. If your car is a camper, I doubt it will fit; check first with the hotel. The hotel lies next to a river where a frog chorus sings every night, throughout the night. You can hear workers near the hotel starting from early in the morning. If you can't take the noise, you will need to shut your window, so you may not have enough fresh air.

Really enjoyed our room, the location, and the very helpful, friendly staff.

Great spot in lovely Fuzine.On the other hand, the hotel has a small wellness area which was charged separately, I have to say that this was the first time in my travelling arrangements that the hotel does not allow there's guests to use wellness which is advertised within room price.

The food was excellent and the staff fun and easygoing. Only a few minutes away from the lake and easy to find and park in.

The rooms are a bit outdated.

The front desk staff and restaurant employees are amazing. This is also basically the only hotel with air conditioning in a 30 min radius. The restaurant has wonderful local food. Laundry service is excellent and better than what we got in a professional laundry, and they even returned 10 kuna that apparently had been in one pocket. We felt safe here and the room on the first floor has beautiful high ceilings and a whole extra twin bed for our son. Room 107 is the best if you are traveling with a kid. Such a wonderful stay here and not far from Risnjak park entrance.

Wish we could come here in the winter too! Our schedule didn't permit time. We were here in July.

Typical 3 star hotel, its not near 4 stars what they say; not room, not breakfast.

A little bit to high prices.

Rooms looked nice, everything was very clean. Staff vas friendly and helpful.

Parking area is to small, not enough spaces for the guests so we often had trouble finding a space during our stay. Breakfast was poor, the staff didn't replenish the buffet so even though breakfast is 7-10 a.m. if you come after 9 a.m. there is hardly anything to eat except very basic stuff. When we complained about this they said we need to come earlier. All in all, not very good value for price.

Leaving it.

Took 30 minutes to check in because of being short staffed. They were not short staffed at checkout when we had two members of staff shouting at us demanding extra money. The tried to double charge first but luckily I had proof of payment. Then they tried to charge extra saying that booking.com had not charged the correct amount. Then they wanted extra fees such as ‘insurance’, ‘charges’ and tourist tax. I’ve no objection to tourist taxes but the other fees were just a shake down. When we argued, they shouted at us, unmasked, in the height of a pandemic. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. The room was poorly laid out, the bathroom had a shower which was impossible to use without flooding the floor. Do not stay here.

Very clean in general, the bathroom was amazing, very large and modern! Great attention to detail inside the room.
