Hotel Landgraf

I liked a lot the bathroom, was really big, also the interior of the room was pretty good and characteristic/rustic. Also the view was really good, especially in morning, since I'm not used to this kind of views with this kind of houses I was flabbergasted.The staff was really friendly, the woman in the reception insisted to give me at least an espresso even though I was in a rush, I liked it a lot.I came in Schwalmstadt to visit my girlfriend; if I will come again for sure I will choose again this hotel!

Basically there isn't something I didn't like. I guess the bed had a really small stain of red on the side... I don't know if it was blood or just color, but it was dirty and made me a bit uncomfortable. But there is nothing else that I didn't like

The hotel is inside a complex that used to be part of a castle - the building and the buildings surrounding it are very nice, old and well maintained. The hotel is also a biergarden/restaurant which serves very good traditional German food. Rooms are spacious and clean, even if very modern and simple.

The rooms are not very good from an acoustic point of view - our neighbours had 2 noisy kids and an infant, and we were repeatedly woken up during the night.The breakfast is underwhelming: the buffet is just fruits and jams, the rest is brought to you at your table but it's just a couple of bread loafs, some slices of ham and cheese (which we left, as we have a sweet breakfast usually). No choice.

Close to good restaurants in small town.Nice timber furniture and comfortable bed.Large modern bathroom.Friendly helpful staff.Good value.

Reception unattended; have to ring on arrival.4 flights of stairs to the room (no lift).Smart TV with no internet connection.Bikes in back yard undercover and with charging points but not locked.Main road noisy day and night.Breakfast served individually, not buffet style.

Cute and the restaurant and breakfast were very good.

As older guests, we did not appreciate carrying our luggage to the top floor without an elevator or offered help.The toilet was also very loose.

Shame the restaurant was closed for dinner the night we stayed. Breakfast was as expected. Staff were very good. Room was lovely, spacious and with all the facilities one could expect.

Bed was comfortable, but was two singles, rather than a king which I would prefer.

Staff was very nice, breakfast delicious, free parking in front of the hotel and cozy and clean rooms.

The only "negative" thing I could mention is the fact that there is no 24h reception all the time there, you can call and they come, but I didn't feel like bothering anyone just to ask a small question.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The floor was unbalanced and the breakfast was terrible. You can’t choose the food, is portioned and you can’t repeat. The breakfast was bread, cheese and ham. The coffee had burned taste.

Very clean and new. The staff is friendly and ready to help all the time. I will come back in this hotel for sure.

The restaurant was closed when I stayed there. There are plenty of places to eat in Schwalmstadt but would have been nice to eat on site.

Access could be better. Arriving at 1700, I had to make a phone call to get into the hotel - not the most welcoming introduction to the hotel.

Very kind and helpful hosts, very cosy and comfortable room, secure parking for the bike, great food in the restaurant.

the room smelled like someone was smoking in the room minutes before my arrival, i am allergic to cigarettes, so it was unpleasant to have. bathroom, and all the bedding smelled so much like cigarettes, during the two nights all all windows open, was still a bit difficult to sleep.

Lovely character property but sympathetically modernised. Very spacious room and huge en-suite bathroom. Well situated for all local amenities.
