    Pros +

    • Nice indoor and outdoor pool.
    • I’ve been here many times. And it is a nice hotel.
    • Spacious and clean room. Charming historical building

    Cons -

    • Smoking is allowed by the outdoor pool. Since the outdoor pool is surrounded by buildings, you can smell the smoke everywhere. The coffee machine in the room was provided by a brand that went out of sale already. It's not compatible with other systems. So you are not able to buy additional capsules.
    • This time my room seemed a little the worse for wear. The toilet leaked (after I’d reported it, someone from the “technical team” put a folded towel under it), and the bathroom floor was flooded after using the shower. Rooms are only cleaned every other day for “environmental reasons”. Which is wonderful if that’s really true. But if you then exchange all the towels, even those neatly hung on the rails, it really defeats the purpose. The complimentary toiletries I knew from other stays are gone except for the shower gel dispenser. The mattress was good but the pillows blankets, though clean, were somewhat lumpy. Having paid €144 per night for just the room, no breakfast, I felt a little underwhelmed.
    • Room was a bit outdated. For the price, it could have been a bit nicer. Spa use not included in room booking.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location. Bar was good. Food nice, good breakfast selection

    Pillows were terrible

    8KaterinaPosted on: 8-24-2024

    Outside swimming pool was stunning.

Additional charge for inside swimming pool, breakfast for 24 eur/person and kids for 15 eur.

Calm and casual hotel with everything we needed. We enjoyed the downstair pool with the kids in the afternoon and went for a walk with the dog round the area. The morning breakfast was very good and had every options needed.

    Pleasant

Actually it is very good 3 star hotel. We was not ussing SPA and breakfest, but room was very clean. The most worse are pillows. They are just very bad, and if you dont ask additional pillow, you will sleep practicaly without pillow. Also cofee machine was not operating, and second one, which we get also not. Because thay are capsule coffee machines, they must be cleande, but if it is not done, cofee not be possible to have.

Breakfast was very crowded, swimming was nice, due to the weather.

Some personal staff could not laugh. Tell them laughing is half the impression.

    The location

The room was somewhat outdated, the pillows need an update, the restaurant didn’t have many healthy options.

    5JorisPosted on: 8-15-2023

Good beds and friendly personell the reception

The room was not very clean. The toilet was very dirty and there was dust and hair on the floor. When you arrive you have to pay €8/day for parking. The personnel at the restaurant is not friendly.

Staff member checking us in was very friendly. The dog even got a bag of treats! The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was really tasty with a great selection to choose from. All staff in the restaurant and Pluckers bar made us feel extremely welcome. We drive to Poland and back from the UK a few times a year and have been for the last 12 years. We find hotels in various towns and villages along the route to stay in and this is the first one that we have said we should use this one every time. The hotel itself is really nice and a 5 min walk into the town finds a number of lovely restaurants. We will be back for our next stopover in July!

The only minor issue was there could be a fridge/mini bar in the room

One of the worst experiences in a so called 4 star hotel ever in years of booking.com reservations and experiences

The restaurant was closed three of the four nights we were there. My disabled mother had to walk considerable distance to find alternative restaurants in town. When approached the manager of the hotel was far from understanding and sympathetic.

    9InnaPosted on: 9-14-2022

Very neat hotel with a spa, swimming pool and treatments next to a Palast and park

not easy to find the reception since there is a different name on it

wonderful location, close to the Waldeck Palace. a big hotel with a wellness area and saunas, nice breakfast

the ugliest design imaginable. bad art on the walls. it urgently needs a redesign.

    8ResigaPosted on: 9-6-2021

Room was nice and the breakfast was also nice ... if you like wood walks would be an interesting place to go. The swimming pool was nice and very clean, good place to be when it rains outside ;)

the spa was very busy so i could not say too much maybe more personal or extended hours for masage features would be needed.

    3WillemPosted on: 8-18-2021

Parking facilities were good. Also a parking garage is present.

The breakfast was very hectic. We could not have dinner. Dirty towels. Fridge with mold. Front desk did not pick up. Staff not particularly helpful or polite. Nothing superior about the superior room.No airconditioningNo showercap, no bodymilk, no water glasses. Absolutely nothing, still paid 190 euro. Very, very, very expensive for what you get.
