About

The Landhaus Haverbeckhof is located in the beautiful heathland village of Niederhaverbeck, in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park. A wealth of natural beauty spots are just a few miles away. Centrally located within the Hamburg-Bremen-Hanover metropolitan area, the house is easily accessible via the B3 federal highway and the A7 motorway, offering excellent transport links to Hamburg, Lüneburg, and Soltau, among other destinations. Well-marked cycling and hiking trails, such as the renowned and award-winning hiking trail “Heidschnuckenwanderweg”, cross the hotel grounds. The hotel's restaurant with its lakeside terrace offers regional cuisine featuring seasonal products, as well as a rich and varied breakfast. In the afternoon, the café offers a selection of cakes and pastries. The stylishly furnished rooms are located in the main building and three annexes, some with thatched roofs, on the historic farmstead. All rooms have a shower/toilet, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi and are located on the ground or first floor (accessible only by stairs). Pets are welcome, but only with prior arrangement and, out of consideration for allergy sufferers, not in all rooms. Free parking is available on the hotel grounds. The Landhaus Haverbeckhof is a VNP property. The acronym VNP stands for three institutions: the Nature Conservation Park Association (Verein Naturschutzpark e.V.), the Lüneburg Heath Nature Conservation Park Foundation (Stiftung Naturschutzpark Lüneburger Heide), and the VNP Nature Park GmbH (VNP-Naturpark GmbH). The work of the foundation and the GmbH implements the association's goal: the protection and development of the entire area. Among the goals of this long-established nature conservation association is the preservation and development of its land within the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve.

    Pros +

    • Beautiful location
    • Very charming house in the middle of the Lueneburger Heide.Very nice staff, local very good restaurant, amazing breakfast with home made food. Many hiking routes starting directly at the hotel.
    • Privacy, nature, food ?

    Cons -

    • Staff is not so good in English and did not reply my email nor facebook message
    • Everything was fine
    • The restaurant didn't offer any vegetarian or vegan options for dinner so we opted for a nearby place. The light and fan in the bathroom turned on automatically which was annoying at night. The walls are thin as it's an old building, which means you can hear other guests pretty easily.

We had a family room with 2 separate sleeping areas. Worked very nicely. The location is great for hiking/biking trips on the Heide. Quiet and cozy ambience.

The restaurant didn't offer any vegetarian or vegan options for dinner so we opted for a nearby place. The light and fan in the bathroom turned on automatically which was annoying at night. The walls are thin as it's an old building, which means you can hear other guests pretty easily.

Great location; charming setting; spacious, clean and comfortable room; excellent restaurant; friendly and helpful staff; easy access to walking trails; reasonable pet fee.

It is an older house but perfectly adäquat for a few nights. Breakfast was very good with regional products and not too lavish, which I often feel is unsustainable. Friendly service and a feel of being welcome.

    Nothing we disliked

    - Location is great!- Complete and clean room- Babybed has a matras (not always the case)

    - shower drain doesn’t work (water doesn’t flow away quick enough)- we expected more special food (it was ik but not very special)

Haverbeckhof is located very central for experiencing Lühneburger Heide: It is right outside the door. We came a little unprepared of what the area could offer, but we were very overwhelmed by the area.We arrived quite late in the evening, but we were welcomed by a staff member, that had waited for us. The room was quite big and we enjoyed our 2-night stay.We had brought our dog, which we were allowed to bring into the diningroom, where we had our breakfast - which was very good, by the way.If going back to Lühneburger Heide, we would definitely come back to Haverbeckhof.

Nice location in Lüneburger Heide -- large enough for our group of 7 adults needing 4 rooms, but not too large to be impersonal!

why charge 50 euro-cents for catsup ?? Unfortunately this is what guests remember, not the really nice dinner meal. Rather they remembers the ridiculous charge. Please consider the big picture & not the detailed accounting

Excellent restaurant with very nice and extremely helpful staff. The surroundings are fantastic as well.

Wifi in the guesthouse did not really work.

Very scenic area. Staff were very friendly & the room was clean and quiet. Lots of activities close to the hotel

Very fine location in the midst of Lüneburger Heide. Fine restaurant.

No wi-fi in the room. We asked the staff and they said "it must be broken", but when we returned to the hotel 4 days later and stayed in a room in another house on the opposite side of the road, there were no wi-fi there either. Only in the restaurant in the main building. The room had an automatic ceiling lamp which lit, when you went to the toilet in the night, disturbing your partner.

Breakfast was delicious, good service and plenty of possibilities.

Rom was placed towards public road. There was noise and therefore bad quality og sleep
