    • A thoroughly restored building with history in a quaint german village. The property was nice to look at and enjoy the building.
    • Our stay at this castle was absolutely sensational. We found it by chance and it was the most wonderful surprise. We booked a triple room and when we arrived at the hotel, even though it was already midnight, the gentleman at the reception upgraded our room to a suite with a superb view. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing, with a good breakfast that catered to all tastes. The staff were friendly. Parking in the courtyard. Everything was superb. Thank you for everything!
    • The hotel is amazing! Very beautiful location, good food and quiet place.

    Cons -

    • Spartan rooms that beg for renovation: functionally the rooms are OK, very clean, everything works perfectly, the bathroom was just immaculate. The interiors on the other hand are just so out of date, it makes me cry, especially a very poor choice of furniture and decor in the rooms and common areas (except for the restaurant, it is OK as it is). The overall vibe is stuck somewhere in late 90’s—early 00’s.
    • our room was a bit dull and facing some bins
    • Breakfast until 9.00?

Great old building and lovely huge garden, rich in history, staff very friendly

No air conditioning which didn’t matter for us, however, rooms might get hot in summer

We stayed one night for a wedding nearby. Room was comfortable, staff were friendly. The breakfast was really nice, lovely gardens. It was a good stay.

Very clean and modern, lovely grounds.

Its a corporate event centre. There was no bar open during the day and had to find staff to get a drink. There was no inside lounge area to sit and relax while it was raining.A large event was booked in while we were there and the music did not stop until 5:00 am the next morning, we all got very little sleep.

The hotel is located in an historic old convent now fitted out to a very a high standard and with very attractive gardens.Location is in a small village about 15 minutes from the nearest larger town.Room standard was good with good wifi.

We stayed on a public holiday when there was no restaurant open with a 15 min drive to the nearest restaurant. There seemed to be very limited service when I would have thought a hotel of this standard would have made more effort to provide full service at all times. There was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room which seemed quite a shortcoming.

It was very clean and the food was excellent.Breakfast was included /Buffet.This hotel was recently renovated. It is more a meeting or conference hotel. Great for groups!

    8RobertPosted on: 10-2-2023

Breakfast was very good. Historic hotel with beautiful, spacious grounds, plentiful parking. Small town, could walk to restaurants.

Weather was warm, would have been nice to have at least rooms fans with no A/C for better comfort and sleeping.

Amazing location in historical building.Very large and comfortable room. The shower was the top! Free water bottle.Reach breakfast and various (all types).Free and handy parking beetwen garden's hedges.

Nothing.Maybe It could be useful to have a kettle in the room and a refrigerator.

    10HongenyPosted on: 8-24-2023

This was a very pleasant experience, the castle was very beautiful and the room very comfortable, it feels like a five star hotel plus a lot of history. We couldn't be happier and would love to return again.

beautiful mansion with spacious modern rooms, terraces, gardens and lots to discover - catacombs, sculptures, barocque theater and much more. Einstein slept here, among other scientists/literates/friends of the lord and his family in the early 1900 to 20es. You can see a nice collection of pictures and dedications hanging all over the place. Also, some catchy modern sculptures are scattered around, in- and outside the building. Good choice of fruits at the breakfast' buffet

the schloss seems to hosts a great amount of meetings, conferences, big groups of business guests, so everything is a bit unpersonal and mass processing. Breakfast staff was unfriendly and too busy cleaning hundreds of tables around us, so everything was annoyingly loud and hectic while we were eating. Try to enjoy your breakfast outside, if weather and staff allows. Reception staff was friendly and attentive though

Beautiful property in a beautiful location

Our rooms were too hot while sleeping, couldn’t control the temperature. Key card kept not working

    8MichelePosted on: 5-10-2023

Quiet room, spacious and tidy. Nice welcome kit. Good assortment for breakfast.

During night time the parking slots and the garden have no or very few lights.
