Pros +
- The hotel is surrounded by a very quaint town and many miles of vineyards, full of grapes this time of the year, and a nice hike to the castle to view this area from an even better perspective. The auto parking garage is spotless and safe. Breakfast selections and quality were great.
- Highly recommended outstanding hotel. The rooms and facilities were fabulous, and all stuff members were very kind. The Dinner restaurant is a Unique and outstanding fine-dining experience - it was highly appreciated. Thank you!
- Nice location, very good breakfast, calm and clean hotel, very friendly staff
Cons -
- Check-in by Ms. Obst could have been more pleasant, she didn't seem to really care too much for providing good service. Dragging luggage up and down stairs to our room, from the parking garage elevator, was an unexpected and not pleasant experience. Check-out by a different person was more pleasant. While the room was quite large, it was oddly arranged and the space was not well utilized, like shower 25 feet or so from bathroom (but near sauna), and doors that always seemed to be in our way.
- There is a nice picture showing the nice terrace with a stunning view in the photo gallery of the hotel, but it does not belong to the hotel! Why hotel should use that picture!! Remained as a question for us and not happy with that!We wish we had hot water, tea and coffee in the room, it is expected from 4 star hotel!
- Nothing. But the SPA area is kind of complicated to figure out since it is in different buildings and floors.

The food, the Location.
Nothing. But the SPA area is kind of complicated to figure out since it is in different buildings and floors.
Excellent hotel with good breakfast clean room AMD nice Spa area. It Was the Second time I stayed here.
Great location, modern comfortable rooms in a nice historical building.
We booked it because we had been driving 10 hours a day for 6 days straight, and wanted a dog friendly place with a restaurant and bar on site, but they didn’t have enough staff and so the bar was closed and their restaurant fully booked unfortunately! We had a lovely meal across the road (with our dog) at the weinstuber in the end I wished I booked a cheaper hotel since we were unable to use any of their facilities and I felt it was a waste to have splashed out on a fancy room where we wanted to stay onsite after a long day and had to go walking around to find our dinner. The room was gorgeous and it was very clean and spacious
Room cleanliness design swimmingpool and its Flexible opening hours breakfast
Everything Was Great
wonderful breakfast buffet, very kind staff, great location
It was very clean and the staff was incredibly kind. The parking was easy aswell and the breakfast room is beatiful, especially the view.
It was quite confusing to find the ways to each spa room and how the belong together.
Everything was perfect and well maintained food was excellent
We had to leave the room the next day at 11:00 AM with no extension possible
Extensive spa area distributed in different locations within the large house, giving the experience a private feel. Lot of shared chill areas to be explored. Very good location at the main road with parking directly at the hotel without additional cost.
The room interior feels a little bit outdated. The breakfast room was very crowded and chaotic, as external guests can also book.
I loved staying at this hotel! Every detail was in place, staff very friendly and professional, room comfortable and good size. It is located in a very beautiful small village which suited me well. They have a parking available at extra, but very fair fee. The parking is in the garage.
Excellent hotel with a very nice atmosphere. They really paid a lot of attention to detail and comfort. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Both the dinner and the breakfast are of very good quality.
Ok, is beautiful driving towards Durbach, especially if you are coming out the Black Forest. The hills are covered with grape vines. The town itself however is not very lively.
Smart and friendly hotel - with excellent breakfast and restaurant - in a beautiful part of Germany.
Everything was new, great beds, large room and extremely good breakfast. Good location in the village close to some wine making houses.
The staff could be more friendly. They help you with everything immediately but don’t seem to be very happy about it.
Lovely hotel with good dinner and breakfast
The spa service was good but on different locations in the hotel
We had a beautiful stay. First of all Durbach is a great holiday destination with lots of hikes and restaurants easily reachable from the hotel. The hotel has great facilities - we particularly loved the big spa area and rooftop sauna and terrace. The breakfast was one of the best I had in a while with lots of high quality regional products and specials like fresh waffles. The staff was very friendly and helpful and contributed to a great stay.
Breakfast was amazingly good, almost a brunch, specially on Saturday with the warm baked apple pie.
nice location, proper rooms, very friendly staff. excellent breakfast. nice spa. very good food and very nice local wines.
bathroom was very tiny
