This hotel is set in a traditional-style building in the pretty town of Friedrichstadt, where the Eider and Treene rivers meet. It is based directly on the town’s Market Square (Marktplatz). Renovated in February 2016, each of the rooms at Pension Marktblick is simply furnished and decorated in warm tones. All offer a flat-screen TV and en suite modern bathroom, as well as a small seating area. But it wasn't a problem - the communication was excellent and the system worked. The wifi signal in our back bedroom wasn't great (we had to keep the door open) - maybe a signal booster would be useful? All in all a very pleasant place to stay

Some confusion about accessing the key to the room so maybe a little better instructions in the future how to access to the room key. We were here for the second time because we like the hotel and its situation on the market place. Breakfast and staff were both delightfull
All restaurants in town we could find were either fully booked in the evening or prohibitivly expensive. We ended up with a turkish fast-food shop in a corner of the market place, where we had the worst food ever - we threw it all out after one bite. This is fair warning. We wish that the hotel in the future will place a list of restaurants in town with an attached streetmap - in each room.
