Hôtel Restaurant U Castellu Vizzavona

Great place to have a refresh about midway on the GR20. Lovely staff, beautiful facilities. Not cheap, but a great value. Food was great (dinner and breakfast). Laundry service available and very easy!

Beautiful location. The hotel is old-fashioned in a pleasant way, and well maintained. The staff are very friendly. There is a good restaurant as well.

Our room was not very big, and the breakfast was good, but a bit pricey. However, we had a really good stay.

Location splendid . Breakfast very good. Dinner and service excellent.

The weather?

Location. Nice bedroom and bathroom. Friendly staff. Good quality evening food.

Evening meal menu limited especially for vegetarian. Expensive breakfast. Quite a long walk from station with no transport. No visitor lounge or hot drinks making in rooms.

An atmospheric hotel within walking distance of the station in Vizzavona. Extensive breakfast buffet.

Wifi.

a little to rustic and authentic. The outside Chalet was comfortable for our dog, but not so much for us.

Clean and charming hotel, quietly located in the small town of Vizzavona. Great as a stay when hiking the GR20 or wanting to experience the Corsican mountains, needing a good base. Staff was very friendly. The hotel offers a great and authentic stay.

Rooms facing the main street will hear a bit from the cars. (Only issue if door to outside is open).

The building is very nice. Our room had a terrace with the view on the garden, very beautiful. The breakfast was really good with good products.

For a 4 stars hotel I would expect some products (cream, apres shampoo) available in the bathroom

Beautiful location in a peaceful forest. The hotel itself is beautiful and our room was calm, clean, lovely and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I had a great sleep. Shower was great.

We would have liked a kettle in the room but that’s the only thing that was missing.

This is an elegant hotel with exceptional service, food, and lovely rooms. To have this available in the middle of the Corsican mountains was amazing, and much appreciated after 9 days on a tough trek.

Not a thing.

Beautiful romantic hotel with stunning views of Monte D'Oro. Very good restaurant Close to lovely hikes to the waterfalls and short walk to the station. There is a big free car park despite what the description says.

Wifi a bit unreliable

Very helpful stuff, clean and quite room, I had a very nice rest in the middle of GR20

The hotel is super charming, the rooms clean and comfortable, the food proposed (breakfast, diner) excellent! We will definitely come back :)

A highly decorated old style mansion with music instruments and historical items. Staff friendly, welcoming and food service excellent

I prefer contempary modern but given how unique it was and homely i got past that quickly.

Good restaurant. Excellent shower. Many trails nearby.

Bad internet, limited choice for vegetarians and vegans.

Unfortunately something went wrong with the booking; I was able to book although there were no rooms available anymore. After an initial 'sorry we can't have you here' call, we were called back that a solution was found. They asked some of the personnel to sleep somewhere else and we could use the room that became available. As everything in the surroundings was sold out, we were so happy with the solution. Very friendly personnel, and we were taken care of very well. Would definitely recommend!

The booking should not have been allowed initially, which gave stress after we found out and were denied. But see above - it was solved and we were happy!

old and smelly rooms. breakfast was very poor and extremely expensive for what it was. this is not a four star hotel by a long shot.
