Pros +

  • Quiet and friendly
  • The place is very charming and I imagine the "court yard" is amazing. It might be nice for longer stays when you are in no hurry and can enjoy the late breakfast etc.
  • Beautiful building, spacious room, old style bathroom with bathtub, and amazing breakfast for just 9.5€/p.

Cons -

  • The breakfast opens late (it doesn't open until 8:30 which is too late when you want to explore the area as many tours etc start early). When contacting them in advance, they s didn't sound too customer friendly. It was important for us to do a horse tour and we naturally wanted to know if and when we could do this, but was told that they couldn't tell us until a few days in advance - which made it impossible for us to plan the trip. On the pictures it looks like there is a stable on the properties etc, but it didn't seem to be (there were some horses though, but outside). We booked our tour through someone else. We had two rooms - one of the rooms had a weird smell, as from a sever etc.
  • It looks like a chic place to stay, but it is not. It’s old and reminds of better times in the past. Shower dirty, toilet old.
  • The bathroom was clean but would need a little refreshing in my opinion, the mattress was not super comfortable (but ok, nothing too bad). The hotel is next to a road; great for transportation; but the common area ( breakfast mostly) was noisy due to cars. The room was quiet though.

Great breakfast, beautiful house. The room was confortable and clean with a small terrasse. Ideally located to access different locations around Camargue

Beautiful property and very nice staff, free parking

Lack of WiFi and 4G/5G inside the room.

Very nice place to stay for a WE with a Family (here 2 and 6 years old), they installed a baby bed, we had a double room, 1 for the kids, 1 for us. The Mas de Sylvereal is beautiful, you can have a delicious breakfast outside in the garden. The tenant couple and the staff are absolutely lovely. The mase is located in central area of Camargue, everything is very close by...10-15min driving. They can arrange for you a horse car tour for kids, or horse riding and provide very good advise. There is a restaurant ( de silvereal) 50m away, very nice and cosy (independant from the hotel) which can host adults and kids...very good food as well.We strongly recommend this Mas in Camargue, very good value for money.

Lovely old building, convenient for sights of Camargue. Great breakfast. Lovely, helpful staff.

Very close to the road which was busy in the day. Horse riding further away that I expected

The familiar ambiance, the internal courtyard, the breakfast, the friendly host.

Some parts of the facility are crumbling and would need repair. Some rooms are humid and smell when not aired properly.

Unfriendly hostess. Unsuitable for families, not welcoming environment.

Hostile welcome from the hostess because we arrived 20 mins before the check in at 3 o’clock and we rang the bell. She kept us out of the locked reception door for ar leasr 15 minutes before she opened to us and very angrily scolded us because we had woken them from their siesta. Can you imagine? The place is in the middle of nowhere and we even thought that we had come to the wrong place! The room had no conveniences at all. They didn’t even have extra toilet paper, nor replaced the paper glasses we had used the first day. The hosts were nowhere to be seen during our stay.No hospitality at all.

Very large room: One room with a double bed and another room with single beds. Simple but nice furnishings and everything is clean!

no mini fridge, essential during the very hot days of August. absence of mosquito nets in some windows therefore, due to the high humidity, there were many mosquitoes and insects. No air conditioning

The breakfast was great. Buffet - lots of choice. Coffee was excellent because there was a choice of strength.

7MilenaPosted on: 9-21-2023

Cute, small, old country hotel in beautiful hertitage building run by lovely family.

The beds are not that comfy. I booked two different rooms at different price but both were fairly small. A bigger room for three people would have been much better with all the laguagge we had not enough space. But we arrived late in the evening so weren't able to communicate on site but had instructions to our room. I could have ask to change rooms the next day but left it. A misstake when you stay more than 3 days. I should have changed it!

8MichelePosted on: 8-22-2023

Spacious bedroom Clean bedroom Friendly staff 12 minus by car only from Saint Marie de la mer

Wi fi didn’t work No hot water in the shower but after 8 o’clock pm nobody at the reception .

Breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed the location of the Mas and the hospitality of the staff. We also appreciated the opportunity to reserve a horse ride in the Camargue natural park. The room was fresh and there was air conditioning. The facility offers a wide courtyard where guests can relax and have breakfast.

The room is a bit dark, the bathroom is very small and without a window. There was a constant smell of humidity but we didn't complain given that the facility is a countryside mansion and is surrounded by the Camargue marshes. If you're looking for a super comfortable experience, probably this is not the best choice.

9ZhenyuPosted on: 4-11-2023

The staff at reception is super nice and helpful. He helped us with the booking of horse riding and explains in detail about the practical info! The room are very simply but cozily decorated. I feel very comfortable being inside! Already recommended for a friend! Certainly come back in the future!

Nothing!
