Pros +
- I've been in at least 40 different hostels. This wonderful hostel is in the top five, maybe first actually. So clean, so pleasant, run by who bends over backwards to make sure everything you want or need happens.
- The hotel is in the center of the village making it easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. An ample amount of parking was also a plus. The room was clean and the bathrooms were large with plenty of counter space.
- The staff were lovely so inviting the beds were so comfortable, very quiet not a lot of traffic or people being loud
Cons -
- Instead of giving me ideas of other dining options in town, the receptionist said, “We do it all!” Of course, the village is very small making it easy to see other options. But more info on the types of places would have been appreciated. The food at the hotel was good, but nothing we had was what I’d consider delicious. Breakfast options were very limited.
- Tv only has a few channels remote most buttons wouldn’t work shower wet the bathroom while in use longer glass panels are needed or a shower curtain food in the restaurant for dinner was not good the bacon was chewy had to send it back was unable to eat
- Outlets were tricky, but they loaned us an extension cord!

Room was was too small for the price I paid but Annmarie was super helpful and made the stay better she was very accommodating and sweet
Location was perfect for going to Garinish Island.
Outlets were tricky, but they loaned us an extension cord!
Everything. The staff was wonderful, the location was great. The room was comfortable. The parking was excellent. The beds were comfortable.
This is relevant to the restaurant and would appreciate you passing this on to the restaurant manager: We were for adults that ate and none of us enjoyed our lunch. Open prawn sandwich: was extremely disappointing. Advertised as tiger prawns and they were 9 small prawns, no favour, no sauce. This plate was extremely over priced at 16 Euro. Roast beef dinner plate, looked visually unappealing, the roast beef was grey, the gravy was bad, the veg was flavourless and looked like it had been thrown on the plate. The panini sandwich, was nothing special at all. The chick pea salad was so bad that the diner refused to eat it. The taste was awful. We think it’s important to mention this as in typical Irish culture no one said anything when the waitress asked if everything was ok, but of you are not made aware, you could never know. I will say that the breakfast in the morning was lovely and was offered complimentary. We had a full Irish breakfast and it was really nice. The wait staff was fabulous as well. The restaurant was clean and everything was well presented.
Lovely clean hotel, great location and friendly staff
Great location in the centre of Glengarriff. Easy to find. Comfortable room and a nice continental breakfast included.
Our room looked out onto the main street where there’s a zebra crossing. The flashing orange lights shone through the thin curtains in our room and made it difficult to sleep. Rooms here are not cheap so this should really be addressed.
The room in the hotel was clean, beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was offered with a large selection of dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking around the city center.
No negative comments, I liked everything
cozy hotel, pleasant staff
nothing to dislike, they warned in advance that restaurant is closed, but I rarely eat in the same hotel anyway. Plenty of choices across the street for dinner btw.
comfortable beds,clean,good choice for breakfast.
We were the only couples staying in the hotel on the Friday.Because of time of year no bar or restaurant open.
Excellent contientntal breakfas first class
No bar but late season
Very well designed hotel in village centre within five mins walk from The Blue Pool , good pubs and excellent restaurants and woollen shops. Also close to the French lady who makes top class crepes opposite the hotel.
Lovely hotel. The room was big and clean, with comfy beds. The location is great! We enjoyed the breakfast.
Great location, quick walk to restaurants& pubs in the village. Easy parking at the back was ideal.
Would have liked a mini fridge in the room.
Booked B& B, but there was no cooked breakfast 3xcept last day
The breakfast was poor. The bar and restaurant were closed but not advised of this before arrivalI had to eat elsewhere
the location, size of rooms, good continental breakfast
location
poor breakfast.wifi wasn't working, despite me notifying them staff.minimal staffing.way overpriced at 150 per night.
It was a cosy hotel and the location was perfect, access to parking was easy and our room was clean, comfortable and spacious
The staff and the location were wonderful, there had been a death in the Hotel so it was obviously a difficult time ,but they were still professional and kind
In the bedroom ,the shower gel in the shower was empty ,there was no plug sockets at the desk so I had to boil the kettle on the floor. There were no lights near the bed or a switch at the bed to turn the lights on so if you needed the bathroom in the night you had to walk across the room and it did have two steps down which could prove very dangerous .
