    Pros +

    • This is our second visit to the hotel. Last year we loved our room and were very pleased. This year we stayed in a smaller room for the same price, inflation, and was were disappointed in the size, the comfort of the bed, and the shower.
    • Lovely peaceful location. Comfortable rooms. Excellent buffet style breakfast.
    • Great food. Very nice people. Very relaxed

    Cons -

    • The shower in our room did not function. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the room was very very small. We had hoped to have the same room as the last stay but were disappointed that we paid the same price and had a much smaller room with a very small shower.
    • The room (No1) was by the main door to go to the downstairs reception . So you could hear people opening and closing the door
    • Whilst the room is clean, warm and comfy, the walls are "paper thin" so bring your ear plugs for a silent nights sleep.

We booked this as a simple overnight stop on the way back from the Alpes.Wow! What a place. The building is stunning. The room was warm and comfy. The bar/restaurant was the highlight. We had a relaxed aperitive before an amazing five course meal. This was a lovely, relaxed end to a ski holiday and we will definitely be returning.

Good location and beautiful building. The Room was what you would expect for this price. The staff were nice, if a little inexperienced.

The food was awful, the egg came cold, the steak was of the cheapest quality with no taste. God knows why such people with no sense of taste or passion for food start a restaurant. The breakfast was also very basic and overpriced.

Friendly staff, fabulous interesting building, accommodating restaurant. All beautifully decorated.

The hotel is the old coachhouse and stable yard for the chateau next door, and so has a lot of character and is in beautiful grounds. We enjoyed the impressive restaurant too. The rooms were simple but welcoming, tasteful and comfortable.

    Nice room

Bit of a muffy smell and there was a wedding party or something. Didn’t hear the music in the room. But it’s guest were very loud in the hallways

The overall ambience. A beautiful country hotel with touches of luxury. In a gorgeous little village.

On my second evening the supper menu was a degustacion and rather expensive. I had not reckoned on that and would still have like the more affordable set menu from the prevsious evening. Having said that the food on both evening was of a very high quality, served and presented exceptionally

Really clean and comfortable rooms, great value for money and excellent onsite restaurant and bar.

Nothing - though location maybe a little remote for some

It was well worth getting off the motorway. It is a hidden history-filled gem in a quiet and beautiful countryside. Very pleasant staff, delicious food served in the restaurant and simple but clean accommodation. They hardly speak any English, but that, in a way, added to the charm of the experience.

Pretty historic building beautifully restored. Tasteful rooms. Great parking.

The restaurant was closed and there were no others nearby. It would have been great if the hotel had let us know beforehand. However the staff were very helpful providing us with ice etc for the picnic we bought from the supermarket.

    Location was fine

food could have been better, very fatty meat, and potatoes swimming on oil, not pleasant.Room could have been less brown, it was very uninviting.Breakfast was disappointing, the pictures on the web site were not what was on offer , cold pancakes are not great, no meat , only pre packed cheese.

Beautiful location and stunning property. Restaurant food was delicious.

Lovely property but beams in the bedroom that you have to duck to go under to get to the bathroom and I’m not tall. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Monday and not near anywhere to get a meal. Never saw anyone after checking in until the breakfast. Unfortunately it lacks any personal touch. Breakfast was excellent.

    The room .

Beautiful place - lovely location - lovely friendly staff

Was very hot day and the rooms are in the roof and was very warm - room had a good fan which helped - beds were great - slept well regardless

Lovely secluded position in a rural setting. Very good for my husband who is gluten free for the evening meal and breakfast.

Breakfast was fine. Location was a little remote but fine thanks to sat nav. It is very good value.

    9PennyPosted on: 6-19-2024

Peaceful, rural location. Beautiful room and very comfortable bed although had to watch out for the low beam! The staff were most accommodating and cooked us a tasty supper even though the Restaurant was closed due to it being a Sunday.

Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds. Clean and comfortable.

Staff were disinterested, not helpful at all.Restaurant was supposed to be gastronomic but burrata salad and pan fried salmon although nice isn't special. Staff rushed us through dinner. There were only 7 clients in the restaurant so the staff were not under pressure.Unable to have a receipt on checkout as no staff on duty til 4,pm .on young lady in restaurant for breakfast
