Pros +
- Jugend architecture and interiör was beautiful, as well as surrounding nature.
- Quiet and peaceful. Old part of the building. Great photos on hallway walls to show&tell history. Good room height. Beautiful view through beautiful window to park.
- The setting was beautiful. From my balcony I looked over lawns and the lake. The grounds are large and have lake access, a pond, a sensory garden and a great little cafe serving waffles. They lead onto a trail which takes you to the lovely art centre and forest museum at Lusto. The layout of the interior shows clearly it was a former hospital, but it's given charm by the old photos, tiny lounges, art deco staircases and nooks and crannies. My room was furnished with quality period furniture.
Cons -
- TV channels were not properly installed and other TV did not show any channels.
- Breakfast was a major disappointment. More "institutional facility" rather than a hotel: cold atmosphere. It would be nice to feel at least a bit welcome at arrival.
- Access wasn't too easy from the station. One way a kind stranger gave me a lift in her car and coming back I took the taxi, which cost 20 euros for the short ride. It would be good if the hotel could arrange a better price with the taxi firm or set up a shuttle system. I think most people use their own cars so the demand isn't so great.

One of the best places ever! Historical building, beautiful forest, and gorgeous Saimaa. What else do you need to feel happy? ☺
Fridge in the room. Swimming pool and sauna is a major plus. Nice location and additional cafe or sauna sevices nearby.
This is not a 4 star hotel. Its a rehabitation center for elderly people, offering hotel services. Rooms looked outdated and no aircon. Breakfast pretty standard and restaurant service took quite long time.
