Hotel Džbán

The wellness area was clean and pleasant to look at and the hot tub amazingly relaxing. We appreciate the effort that was put into creating this space.That was the highlight of our stay and the main reason we are giving an overall 6 rate instead of worse.The staff were polite and helpful.

The inside of the hotel was clean but shabby, as if it had been left to itself for a long time and seen better days.The ground and first floor always smelled of old frying oil coming from the restaurant and the stench followed us into our bedroom. We understood why when we tried the restaurant on the first evening. One of us got sick from it (they ate the oiliest bramborak ever), even the cakes on display turned out to be quite old.The bed and mattress were uncomfortable and we could hear everything from the rooms next to and under ours; plus the hotel's ventilation system that was quite loud and the fridge that made a racket and was to never be turned off.The breakfast spread was chaotic -things were not grouped logically and so were hard to find. All the home cooked dishes were greasy and oily. There was more oil dripping from one livanec than I use in one week.

1. The bed is uncomfortable, the mattress sags. It feels like we slept sitting up.2. It’s hard to carry a suitcase up. The staircase is narrow.3. There are no screens on the windows. This was important to us because there were a lot of wasps.

We love the pool that is part of the hotel. Its small but with warm water.

The furniture in the hotel was old. Definetly needs refurbishing. Specially the restaurant and comun areas

Our stay was very pleasant, property lived up to expectations. Hotel was basic, our small double room under the roof didn't give us much space, but everything was clean and we didn't come here to be inside. Hotel staff was very helpful and nice. Every food we tried in restaurant during our stay was very well prepared and tasty.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, restaurant with good food which serves their own beer Slezský Džbán, fast and stable WiFi.

The furniture is a bit outdated, I had flashbacks from my childhood in the early 90s. The rooms on the 2nd floor which are just below the roof are also very small as the ceiling copies the roof, I bumped my head into it more than once.

Especially I liked there was a space for children to play where we could spend a lot of time. Hotel does not have its own playground but there is one nearby. The restaurant was also pleasant, all the staff was super nice.

Spacious, comfortable and clean room with shower room and hallway. Friendly and helpful reception, restaurant and spa staff. Good quality and variety of breakfast and evening food. Located in heart of village.

We got a friendly welcome of the lady at the reception.We liked the 'swimming' pool (it's more like a giant jacuzzi) The breakfast buffet was nice (nothing special but nice)The small city is nice but it feels a bit empty in the eveningThe food was good (we tried a kinda board with different cheeses and meats)

The parking spaces in front of the hotel are rather limited and we were only able to park our car the last day before leaving.We had to climb a lot of stairs to get to our roomThe bed was under the rooftop and we hit our heads and arms more than once at night while turning around

Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, pleasant swiming pool with hot watter. Very good value for the money.

Frying oil smell is strong and it's absolutely everywhere.

Great location and free wellness is very good value, that is actually able to make up for all disadvantages that place has. Meals are typical for 90s, but they come handy from time to time.

The facility is let say outdated in its style and looks worn out . Given the price it is not what I would expect. Staff is fine, bit rought but we are in mountains, not in some fancy city so no compaint.

Wonderful hotel with its own little wellness centre with hot (and I mean hot!) thermal water. If you are a guest, the entrance to the swimming pool is for free, jacuzzi in "barrels" is for 150czk extra, which is bargain. The room was clean, bed comfortable, I had dinner and breakfast which were both excellent. Special plus for a super nice lady at the reception! Will come back!

Something that cannot really be changed without a complete reconstruction - the ceiling in the upper floors, the curves and sharp edges left me with quite a few bumps on my head. If you are tall, try to get a room on the 2nd, not 3rd floor.

Great price for the location and facilities

Noisy neighbours. The walls are paper thin.

The spa is beautiful, the welness in the hotel is great. A good bus connection to other places in the mountains.

Small depressive room, the staff not very helpful, badly organized room for breakfast. Arrogancy of other guests - the staff did not care.
