About

Maxmilian Lifestyle Resort offers accommodations within the grounds of Loučeň Castle and just 31 mi away from Prague. It offers a restaurant and a lobby bar. Guests can relax in an indoor pool and sauna or in a natural swimming pond- both are for an extra charge. You can choose from contemporary rooms in the modern part of the hotel, or rooms with luxurious antique furniture in the castle complex. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Some of our rooms are equipped with the air conditioning. Hotel Maxmilian has two restaurants. One of the restaurants is the buffet restaurant Ferdinand. Buffet breakfasts are served here, as well as buffet dinners (usually on weekends and main holidays). The second restaurant is the à la carte restaurant Maxmilián, which is primarily intended for those who came to our resort to enjoy romance and want to enjoy sitting with a good glass of wine and selected dishes. The Maxmilián restaurant has a capacity of 68 seats and it is good to reserve a table in this restaurant in advance for the evening. There is a lobby bar serving coffee and cocktails, and a cozy lounge room with an open fireplace. With good weather, you can take a romantic walk in the landscaped park.

    Pros +

    • Spa, breakfast, castle and park
    • A very nice hotel with decent size rooms, amazing beds, good food and a Great outside park with mazes. We also.enjoyed the spa.and.the pool at the hotel. Recommended even for a bit longer stay.
    • Beautiful place with nice rooms, friendly staff and great food.

    Cons -

    • Not a downside but be aware.that pool and spa is paid extra (6€ pp) and you need to reserve it. However we did get the whole pool and sauna to ourselves so very much worth the price. Parking is also extra (5€).
    • You need to pay extra for amenities such as pool.
    • Absolutely necessary changes in cleaning! Dusty sofa in the room, dirty carpet.. And when we entered the room, dirty socks of the previous guest were lying near the bed. Hair in the bathroom. So a huge question, did they clean at all? Or did they just take out the trash... This is our second visit to the hotel, and it has become worse, the cleaning has ruined the whole impression..

Massage, I recommend. Location, nature. Very nice hotel, but needs maintenance repairs in some areas.

Nice park next to the hotel

Thin walls of the guestroom. On Sunday morning we were woken up at 6:50 by loud yelling of naughty kids and their parents from room next to us. Later, even a conversation they were having could be heard as if they were right next to us. The first night we could not sleep as right under our window there was an outside bar - venue for some team building party. Conclusion- worst sleep ever.Guestrooms are worn-out, bathroom very dated, toilet seat (with "sanitation proof" paper over it) was stained.Incorrect bill at the end. Hotel tried to overcharge me by some 500Kc for second use of pool that never happened. I dont understand how it could be since usage of pool is monitored by electronic fob so there is no space for human error.Extra charge for parking. Extra charge for the pool. Extra charge for usage of bathrobe. Really???!!

Hotel is in castle’s garden. Wellness. Good breakfast (incl. sparkling wine)

    8AnonimoPosted on: 2-12-2025

Very clean. Top personnel. Easy to find parking.

The access to the pool must be booked, but there is no guarantee that there are only few people in the pool. At our booked time it was almost impossible to swim. The rooms do not have a good noise insulation.

Great, as usual! Kind staff, neat and nice atmosphere. Good for family with kids.

Breakfast was so so. Some food wasn't filled in time. Last day, there were no fresh vegetables at all... I was disappointed... I didn't expect great quality. I needed just fresh cucumber and paprika or tamato. But there's nothing.

Located within an hour's drive of Prague. The apartments are clean and the staff is friendly. There is an elevator. Late check-in is allowed (we checked in after 10 PM). Breakfast is buffet-style, extensive, and delicious. Near the hotel, there is a beautiful area with stunning nature. I will consider staying at this hotel again.

Tea and coffee are provided in the apartments, but there was no sugar. Slippers are not available. Parking is paid.

The park around was nice, the swimming pool temperature was pleasant.

Restaurant stuff overcharged the bill multiple times. I had to go to reception to ask for cleaning the room.

Our family – my wife, three children, and I – enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We booked a double room and a triple room, both of which were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged to meet our needs. The spa facilities were excellent – a great place to relax and recharge. Everything was well-kept, and the atmosphere was peaceful and inviting.Breakfasts were satisfying and offered a good variety, with something for both adults and children to enjoy.A special mention goes to the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Their professionalism and warm approach made our stay even more enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to other families.

We had a wonderful family weekend! Nice room, comfortable bed, massage bath. We had two rooms with a private hallway. Overall the hotel is beautiful ?

The carpet in the room was not very clean, it would be nice to do a wet cleaning. It is necessary to book the pool as its capacity is small.

Good location nice park at the hotelCheap priceDelicious dinner

Swimming pool is not included, you have to pay additionally and it’s per hour so we felt limited in time.No slippers and robe provided for spa and room. Breakfast is nice but normally I see more vegetables on the table in other 4 stars hotels. The last thing I didn’t like is early check out at 10.00, but there was a nice receptionist though who allowed us to check out at 10.30.Overall for that low price the conditions are okay but I would rather overpay a bit to stay comfortable for 100%

    The grounds and castle

The pool and wellness closed. Didn't Know so was pretty unhappy as main reason to book

    Park and castle

Swimming pool was under maintenance and I found out only when I was already in my swim suit; nobody from the reception knew. The maintenance guy was quite rude to me and let me out.

Friendly staff. luxourius styled hotel. Decent breakfast.

    8LuciePosted on: 9-1-2024

Beautiful location, the biotop to swim was really nice. It was child friendly. Staff was super friendly and helpful

They charge you for everything. In other 4star hotels, parking (especially when you are in the middle of nowhere) is included. Same for the pool- must be reserved upfront and is paid extra. Takes a bit from the relaxed holiday- having to watch the time…

Great location. Absolutely wonderful park and castle which are led a few dozen steps up from the hotel. With a stroller it is not convenient to say the least. On the question whether it is possible somehow to go to the park will bypass the steps advised to go out on the roadway from the gate of the hotel and enter the park from the street. Passage through the back of the hotel found independently, with a stroller there you can pass, but it is definitely not a place for the disabled. Not so many people (stay during the week)Good breakfast. Like for this price it is just a good breakfast, in Germany, Austria or Netherlands you will much better breakfast for the same price. The swimming pool is good enough. Open pool, and the area around also not bad, but again dozen steps up from the hotel.Lunch was good. Price was bad.

Value for money. Both swimming pools should be included in your price for the room. Reservation is OK.Room. The room itself is terrible. Very old furniture that is trying to fall apart from the last of its strength. The doors creak, the bed creaks, it is impossible to completely block out the light with this thin cloth called a curtain. I understand that we lived in a relatively new room with air conditioning. They don't have air conditioning in all rooms, you have to choose a special room with air conditioning, that's the convenience.Dinner. Dinner, totally overrated. Even considering that there were few visitors during our stay, the two square meters where food from the nearest supermarket is displayed just can't handle the pressure. Service staff grudgingly change empty plates. The hotel positions itself clearly as a vacation destination on the level of similar places in Austria or Germany. At least the prices are exactly the same. But in Austria or Germany you will get much more for the same money.

Excellent location for visitting the Castle Loučeň.The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, it was nice and clean, buffet dinner was nice (but could have a bit more choice), breakfast was excellent though, the suite family room was big enough with big King size bed, but the sofa bed was rather small, suitable for children/teenagers/short people only, otherwise your feet hang out of it.

The receptionist when we checked in, gave me different info reg the biotop pool use, stating we have 2hrs in the price of our stay, but then a different receptionist in the morning wanted me to cover the cost that it’s not in the price through Booking! Other then that we had a lovely stay and all was great!
