Pros +
- The staff was nice, and capable. The location is great.
- The staff was polite and helpful! Food quality was good - when we had it.
- Room was large and bed comfortable. Breakfast waiter was very kind and went out of his way to provide service in very difficult circumstances.
Cons -
- Very noisy until around midnight or later, due to teenager sport camps staying at the hotel.
- In summer it's not a wellness resort, it's a youth basket camp. So VERY loud up until 23.00.The pool was green the first 4 days of our stay and then closed for dealgaeing for other 3 days, don't know if it reopened.Don't let air-conditioners on the facade deceive you, the hotel has no air conditioning even at 35 degree heatwaves.Funnily enough they also didn't have ice in the bar one time I asked. The breakfast on day 1 was a disaster - it was not served, there was 1 cook/waiter who couldn't feed 15 hungry people cause he thought only 3 would come - some miscommunication happened. It went well on the other days, so they improved. The dinner (the only time we ordered) took 55 minutes to bring the antipasti and a plate of cacio e pepe. Then there was no one to get dessert from so we left. Food quality was good. The menu didn't change for the whole week - always 3 antipasti, 3 pastas and one 2nd dish - the tagliata. Food quality was good but obviously we never ate there again.Next time I will make sure to stay elsewhere, it was a big disappointment. The staff was really helpful though, it's clearly the management that went wrong.
- No idea why they took my booking as they were very clearly closing up for the end of the summer season and couldn't be bothered with guests. Place was virtually empty and facilities being closed up. Breakfast was a joke. Didn't bother to plug in the bain maries so we were offered cold scrambled eggs and frankfurts. Five guests in a huge dining room seating over 100. No coffee in either coffee machine. Only served up frothy milk. Breakfast waiter made us coffee from the bar. Service from reception was non existent and manner curt. No wifi and no apology, I was needing to work so used up all the data on my phone. Placce is generally run down and facilities tired.

The staff were nice
So dated, felt like going back to the 1980’s. Breakfast was embarrassingly poor. Rooms don’t have A/C. Really was not cheap, for that money, go ANYWHERE else
Just a stopover for the night didn’t really use the facilities. Nice pool.
Didn’t notice it doesn’t have A/C. Staff a bit rude. Only nice person was a lady. I booked and paid for a JR suite and gave me a queen bed room. I was traveling with kids and their claim was they couldn’t give the room I paid because I didn’t specify the kids age. They did provide, after a lot of hassle a twin bed. What I don’t get is that I booked within a couple of hours of arrival and they claimed to be fully booked in those type of rooms. Just really specify age if booking for a family.
Quiet, peaceful place, caring and friendly staff, I've been coming back here for several years.
Nature is beautiful, but the stuff of the hotel were absolutely mean and impolite
First of all we got room without facilities like balcony and terrace(while we booked the room with a view with a terrace. The stuff we’re high impolite, irritating and mean. They cancelled our spa procedure without even asked us.The waiter refused to tell the password of WiFi when we asked during the breakfast.
The spa is incredible. The grounds are tranquil and the people friendly and welcoming.
There was record heat, and no AC. The grounds were comfortable with open windows, but the room got very hot at night. We bought an oscillating fan, and things were good afterwards.
Location and environment was perfect. The staff in Rezeption was very good. Only one lady staff in breakfast place was not kind. We want to set outdoor for breakfast in restaurant area.but she stop us. Even there was no signboard that can’t seat out side.
Bed was so small. Not confortable
This hotell is a hidden pearl. The location is perfect for daytrips in the southern part of Tuscany and also for close by walks in the nature. It'a very comfortable and relaxing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and both my little dog and I have just met the sweetest staff. Even when we have stayed here for a couple of days more or less alone they have taken great care of us. Close there his lots of options to ride your bike or even horseback ride.
A few vegetables for breakfast would be nice, but that's not often to find in Italy. The outdoor area is big and very silent.
The hotel is located in a beautiful place 1.5 km to Merigar the Tibetan Buddhist centre, which was an unexpected surprise and made my day.It has a beautifully located outdoor swimming pool, but unfortunately it was too cold to swim and it has a lovely SPA, with steam room, sauna, salt room. Most rooms have balconies with double gaze windows with lovely mountain views and a retro charm, in an old fashioned 4/5 stars franchising hotels from the 70´s/80´s, the same I have found in large hotels around the world, especially when the flight company gives you a room for a delayed or lost flight in China and Taiwan. I don´t mean it badly. They are well kept, fairly clean and modernised to today standards. The owner of the hotel was kind and quickly changed offered a better room to my friend when black water came out of the heater of his room.
First I did not like that they gave the room with the balcony that I had booked for myself for a reason, was given to my friend and I had to ask him to swap, which made me uncomfortable for the start.Second that there was a dreadful smell from those little green insects called “cimice” in italian which appear in the spring and make the most dreadful smell if more or less accidentally crushed. Third that there was black water coming out of the heater in my friend´s room and I had to get involved in getting him a new room, which was precisely the last thing I needed at that point after a very long drive and with two long days ahead. All that swapping was truly very uncomfortable both mine and my friend´s it lost us two hours to figure and sort out, and by the time we were ready the spa was closed. In the morning I only had half an hour to spend at the spa so in the end it was not worth going to this place for us as we could not enjoy it. I also did not like how the desk guy behaved towards me after I asked him an incense or room scenter to get rid of the background smell of the cimice, which opening the window did not get rid of. He was rude, he was obviously annoyed, every time we talked he sounded angry. People like that should not work in public and I hope he finds a better job to suit his true call whatever that might be because he certainly ruined my stay. He never returned a smile and he comes across as a generally very negative person, very very rude and unpleasant a presence to have at the front desk. So overall, although my rates of this place is high because it was good worth for the price, I would not return because it´s absolutely unacceptable to have staff that is not fit to deal with the needs of the clients, particularly when derived from failures or mistakes that concern the structure and not the client.Single beds still should have two pillows, it´s impossible to sleep well in a bed with one pillow.
The breakfast is very good. Also very beautiful places around.
Internet via Wi-Fi very unstable. Also there is low signals from gsm networks, so mobile internet also not stable.
Amazing part of Tuscany! Don't miss this hidden corner and the hotel is a great place to stay to explore Amiata and Santa Fiora
