BQ Carmen Playa is 220 yards from Playa de Palma Beach, 4 miles from Palma Airport. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool with lounge chairs, and air-conditioned rooms with private balconies. All rooms at the Carmen Playa come with a TV. There is a private bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. The hotel has a restaurant. You can also relax in the Carmen’s cafe-bar. Car rental and bike rental are available. There is a bus, 55 yards from the hotel, which takes you to the center of Palma de Mallorca, 8 miles away. Pros +
- Everything! Small but adequate mod bedroom. Fab shower. Amazing friendly competent staff, comfy bed despite being 2 singles. Fantastic pool [10h30 to 18h30]. Mind blowing breakfast (8 to 11am). Felt like I was in Germany as I only heard German and Spanish. The Brits go to Magaluf (aka Shagaloof). Close to beach, bus stop, and the strip. Wonderful art in the hotel. Lovely affordable bar. The attentive life guard was bored as only I swam...the rest drank and ate. Lovely cardio machines in the basement gym.
- Very friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast was outstanding, nicely presented and everything you could need. The hotel was in perfect shape.
- Very friendly staff and good food plus a nice bar by the pool.
Cons -
- A complimentary water in the bar fridge would've been nice but not a train smash. 10kg dumbells instead of tiny ones would be a bonus.
- Wifi worked well all week using Teams and VPN, but the last checkout day the connection was intermitent. No English TV channels.
