Hotel Materra

Everything was perfect! This is our second time staying at Materra Hotel, and we are absolutely sure we will keep coming back in the future. The hotel is wonderful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is excellent. The spa is absolutely perfect and one of the main reasons we love this place so much. Highly recommended!

I loved everything. I have visited this hotel two times within a 6 month period so I definitely recommend it. My little girl (3 years old) also absolutely enjoyed it although there are no facilities specifically designed for children (except for the outdoor playground which is nothing special).

Hotel Materra is something Croatia needed. A combination of modern, comfortable and decent in the heart of the beautiful Slavonian nature. The hotel has everything you need for a nice stay - spacious rooms with big comfortable beds, excellent wellness, bar, delicious breakfast and extremely friendly staff. We were only for 2 nights but we had a wonderful rest and we'll definitely come back again. Also, next to the hotel is their restaurant Crna Svinja where you can try meny delicious meals. I recommend it!

I didn't like that we had to go home :)

Everything was over the top. Location, room, spa, staff, restaurant, food, drinks. It was perfect! We will back for sure. The Slavonian hospitality and kindness is hard to match!

the spa can get very crowded and there aren’t enough lounge chairs. The water in the jacuzzi was not warm enough. I really did not like the restaurant menu as it has literally only 6 a la carte choices for the main course. it’s only beef, pork, one fish and one vegan dish. What about the chicken, burgers, pasta and some basic options that everyone can enjoy? That was very lacking for me. Also the coffee in the restaurant tasted bad and the machine makes really small coffees making you go to the bar to drink there since those are really good

I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel! Everything was perfect – the location is absolutely beautiful, with a huge yard, a perfectly maintained lawn, and a small forest that adds a peaceful and charming vibe. The hotel is pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us.The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the fresh air and the serene atmosphere.The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was excellent – from the snacks available at the spa to the fabulous, varied, and delicious breakfast. Tako savrseno mirno mjesto za vikend odmor s partnerom.Uzivali smo u spa zoni (saune, jacuzzi i bazen), krevet je bio fantastican, zavjese tamne pa smo mogli fino i spavati. Svaka soba ima divan ogroman balkon. Checkout je u 12 pa mozete uzivati u SPA i ujutro.

Everything about the hotel is exceptional: rooms, spa, food, staff, every single detail.

Everything felt fresh and impeccably clean. The staff brought a great sense of energy and professionalism, which added warmth to the experience without ever being overbearing. Breakfast was exceptional, with a strong focus on high-quality DOBRO products, and the adjacent restaurant delivered one of the most memorable gastronomic experiences I’ve had in recent years. The wine selection, both regional and curated through the restaurant and hotel bar, was excellent. The in-house bar also offers a refined selection of cocktails and specialty coffee, rounding out the overall experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the complimentary toiletries from their own cosmetic line — a thoughtful and luxurious touch.

The slippers provided were definitely on the smaller side — bringing your own is a good idea, especially if you plan to use the spa area. The massage was relaxing but a bit too gentle for my taste; that said, I probably should’ve communicated my preferences more clearly to the therapist.

Wellness area was great. The breakfast was also amazing, especially the coffee. Overall it was a great experience and I hope to repeat it soon.

My partner wasn’t satisfied with the mattress, said it was too hard.

Hotel location is a little bit in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are extra clean but balconies are not very attractive yet comfortable.

Excellent wellness facilities in range of top world wide spa/wellness. Team is exceptionally pleasant and professional. Restaurant food is absolutely fantastic as well as stuff in restaurant and hotel bar (coffee barista). Closeness of exceptional restaurant (Crna svinja) and private hospital.

I had high expectations, but Materra exceeded them by quite a margin. Service is amazing, people are so nice and helpful. You can clearly see this hotel is designed, built and managed by someone with a lot of hospitality experience. Every detail is well planned:- parking is large enough and it's covered- 2 elevators for 10+ people- rooms are very large, in other hotels this would probably be sold as a suite or something- the hotel's restaurant is beautiful, and the food is delicious. The restaurant is equipped with designer furniture, they have chairs which cost like +500 euros each...- breakfast is top-notch, and it is open until 11 AM which is something we really enjoyed- pools and saunas are open until 10 or 11 PM, again, something we really liked- the internet is super fast, that was pretty important for me since I work remotelyI mean, everything is 10/10 - I don't understand how this hotel has "only" 4 start, it's a pure 5-star experience.Still, if I had to highlight a single thing - it would be the personnel. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable, we will be coming back to visit you again!

The hotel is modern and has a great design. It's located in the "middle of nowhere," but in a positive sense. It has a big parking lot, and the rooms are nicely decorated with a large balcony. Basically, any side of the hotel has a great view. The breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of options for everyone. The internet worked great, and the staff was polite. The wellness and spa area is on a level of its own. The pool is made of stainless steel, has an outside great jacuzzi, and there's a bio and Finnish sauna. The staff is always there to clean the space and refill the towels. The relaxation zone has little snacks and tea, with comfy water beds and swings. Maybe the only thing missing is a proper salt room, as there's a wall in the relaxation zone, but it cannot cover it whole. The whole spa zone has glass walls meaning you can also look outside. The working hours are also great - from 6 AM to 11 PM.

The pool area could use more sunbeds, as there are only 6 or 8 of them for the whole hotel. Even though it was not that crowded, the sunbeds were all full, so a little improvement there would be great. Otherwise, the pillows were a bit strange, too soft, and there was no option for different ones. These are all smaller details that could improve an otherwise great experience.

Everything is so clean. Modern. Cozy. Big rooms. Amazing breakfast. Nice, calming view.

There were no available appointments for a massage. Out of the three saunas, only the Finnish sauna was functioning properly, while the other two had issues. Additionally, by the pool, there were only 8 to 12 deck chairs, which was insufficient for the number of guests present.

Hotel je odlican. Sve je novo, cisto, uredno. Hotel ima odlican spa i teretanu. Pogled iz sobe i kafica na prizemlju je divan i opustajuc.

The interior is beautiful and spacious, the staff are all lovely, and the room is really comfortable. We had the pool/jacuzzi to ourselves as it was a quiet evening, so it felt extra luxurious. Loved it and we'll definitely visit again!

Nothing much to add here. A few extra hooks in the room/bathroom could be useful to hang pool towels, etc. These are completely minor details...

Welcoming gesture, cleanliness, wellness, variety of choice for breakfast, everything had been designed in details. Overall very comfortable staying.

Mattresses are litte too firm for our liking.
