Perfect location, wonderful service, comfortable suites, excellent and very tasty breakfast ?? Sauna and swimming pool are cozy and royally equipped. Massage, sauna attendant, music were really nice ? Thanks a lot ?

Overall a great place, which still looks like in its glory, a hundred or so years ago. Mainly a seminar hotel, but happy to receive individual guests. Easy train ride from Vienna 70 min to Payerbach-Reichenau. From there the hotel offers transport, or alternatively walk 20-30 min along Schwarza river (avoid the Main Street). Indoor pool. Good breakfast in impressive historic dining room. Lunch and dinner options. Friendly staff. Good price-quality relation. (The hotel, while very nicely renovated, is not necessarily luxury, at least the parts that I’ve seen.) Good hiking options in and around Reichenau.

There are always little things to improve. In this case e.g. 1-2 degrees warmer pool would make it even more pleasant. The website could indicate that transport from the train station is being offered. The resto staff during dinner seemed overstretched. The main street of Reichenau is polluted by traffic (not the fault of the hotel of course). Finally, there’s the complex question if Austria’s k.u.k history should still be univocally celebrated like in this hotel, or wouldn’t need at least a touch of critical reflection.

the property did not have air conditioning but in the night, the room temperature was comfortable. I was a little unsure when we first checked in.

The bed was not comfortable. I recommend to buy extra mattress on the bed.

We had a good time while staying in the hotel, which is located in a peaceful environment. The view from the window was beautiful, and the hotel's castle-like architecture added to its charm. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were very nice. With its wellness facilities and gym, we especially enjoyed daily swims in the pool. It's ideal for those who want to relax away from the noise of the city. We would like to come back here again in the future.

The public areas felt not clean - especially the elevator, the way from the room to the pool.The room felt very old.

Good location, elegant old building with a nice atmosphere. Perfect service, we enjoyed wellness area a lot. Breakfast selection is great, dinner selection and food is average.

Absolutely cinematic experience. "Old-world" atmosphere, amazing location by the mountains. Spacious and bright rooms, and exclusively polite and helpful personnel. Definitely staying in the list of places to recommend and visit again.

If try really hard to find disadvantages - the sauna was a bit cold.

The staff was really friendly but very busy because might be understaffed. Hotel, location - all was good after some nice hike and mountain climbing in the rax surrendings.

The hotel is located in a wonderful environment, the garden is very beautiful and well-kept. The staff is very attentive, the interior of the building is elegant, reminiscent of the beginning of the last century. I appreciate the preservation of traditions in hospitality. A very wide selection of dishes can be enjoyed for breakfast.

During one evening, due to an event, the services were not fully available, which caused minimal inconvenience.

The location is great - close to town centre and walking distance from supermarket, cafés, restaurants and hiking areas. The hotel is elegant, well maintained and the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. The wellness and spa facilities are well maintained and enjoyable to use.

The only shortcoming was the lack of a small fridge / minibar in the hotel room as this would have been convenient.
