Hotel Magnetit Šumava

Very nicely renovated hotel. The room was nicely designed and comfortable.

When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception. I understand that we arrived 2 hours before the usual check-in time but still, there was really nobody present, just a cleaning lady who then called the manager, who subsequently sent the receptionist. We waited more than 30 minutes to see a receptionist. The sauna area looked like an empty storage room and was turned into a paddling pool because the drains in the showers weren't working for both days that we were there. During the first breakfast, the tables weren't cleaned after people left, and the food wasn't restocked promptly. However, this improved the next day.

This newly remodeled hotel is well designed, with luxury finishing and an excellent staff. The wellness spa is one of the best we have seen in all our travels. The staff are highly accommodating, friendly, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. They take excellent care of their guests. The town is also really nice with many walking trails, and good restaurants.

Nothing, everything was excellent

Very nice room, clean, with great balcony. The building is brand new and well kept. The breakfast is exceptional - there is everything from pastries and sausages to fresh fruit and vegetables. The most pleasant aspect of our stay was the staff - namely Erika, who is the single most exceptional employee of the hotel!

The parking was only paid across the street or free, but a bit far away. So beware of the small print when booking. It was not a deal breaker, but definitely not a pleasant surprise.

Had a great time at the hotel, everything was clean and the breakfast was exceptional! Just one little thing, there were no vegetarian or vegan options for dinner in the restaurant but luckily there are other restaurants nearby.

Very clean and modern, lovely breakfast. One employee named Erika was fantastic with me and my son.

No parking, we have to use pay and display, or park much further away. We paid a spa fee of 6 EUR despite not using it.

Terrible welcome from staff on front desk, most staff were pleasant but one guy in particular clearly didn’t want to be there and was as difficult as possible at every turn. Made it unenjoyable to have to ask anything from reception when he was there.

The room was not maked up regularly despite our demands. Beds not made and glasses and mugs not cleaned. It is surprising given the quality of the hotel for other prestations.

Short false fire alarm in the morning but no bid deal.

Better than we expected, easy access even though it was covered in snow. Fantastic staff and a very nice buffet breakfast at a very reasonable rate.

That we didn't have snow tires for the ice.
