Hotel Dorfmühle

Beautiful grounds,buildings and rooms. Beds were just right, rain-shower was wonderful. Very clean and quiet. Delicious breakfast with good variety of breads, meats, cheeses, muesli, eggs and beverages.

Window screens and room fans would help keep cool and insect-free in this unusually hot summer. Parking was snug. Pls post a notice and #, or buzzer, at front desk for guests to call for assistance.

Almost no staff or service workers to talk to, lack of needed towels.

No coffee making facilities in the room, this is not a biggie just go downstairs to the reception where there’s a Nespresso machine

We didn’t have any warm water.

Grounds were lovely, and location was great too. Shower room was warm and a really good size. Lady at breakfast was extremely friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room was a surprise…..it’s expected these days, especially given the price and high standard of the hotel otherwise.

Beautiful hotel.

My father-in-law and I ran out of hot water in different days and different rooms. We arrived at 9:30 pm, no one at the reception (OK), but no signs to point us to our room in another building (it took us searching in the main and adjacent buildings ?. Also, one of the people that was working there called my daughter with our dog out of the breakfast room to tell her not to come in with the dog, gave her a hard time, instead of talking to any of the 4 adults. My pillow had a very strong smell on the 1st day. The towel holder fell, so I wrote to the hotel. The lady that called my daughter out barged in the room, I had to tell her not to go in the bathroom where my husband was showering ? services: suboptimal (gewohnungsbedürftigt)

Was just a little hot with no aircon, fans in the room would be amazing

Bed linen, too ,,plastic" feel for my taste. Need to make an effort for find a pint of beer....

The location was perfect for us as we had an appointment in Lehrberg. This is a very interesting property, converted from a mill and granary to a modern multi-building hotel. The grounds are lovely, also with seating overlooking adjacent fields. They were very kind in changing our room to one easily accessed by elevator. Good standard German breakfast.

some attention to details are missing: hooks in the bathroom for example …more importantly: the first impressions where great… the last impressions coming along with the breakfast have been very different, unfortunately as those impressions last! Staff was absolutely out of place, placement’s for boiled eggs and pancakes.. no such available! Bavarian bretzel: one available… totally lacking Bavarian culture! Scrambled eggs: cold! Coldcuts: not cooled sufficiently! Checking out: no one at the desk, despite waiting for quite a while! If the business is not viable or people loosing interest to run the business, better close it yourself before it’s getting closed.

Despite noting a food allergy on our booking there was no Gluten Free breakfast options. The only thing possible to eat for breakfast were eggs.

There was nothing to dislike but breakfast can be improved with more option.

Quiet charming village and the hotel fits nicely into it. Nicely appointed and peaceful both inside and out, staff are friendly (and few) and the booking and entry process efficient and easy. The breakfast was delicious.

No AC means the windows need to stay a crack open and our friend the mosquito made a brief appearance. The coffee could be better, but hey, everything else is great ;)

Difficult to get a meal on walking distance at a Tuesday. 4 out 5 suggestions were closed.

Super beautiful location. clean & organised. Shower is lovely. The garden is beautiful and the dog Paula is amazing!

You can hear trains passing by all night long if you are a light sleeper. The room has 2 beds put together and easily split apart. It would great if the could place a connecting strip that holds the beds together.

I loved the Hotel Dorfmühle - a gorgeous property, minutes from Ansbach and walking distance to Thai, Italian, and incredible German food. The breakfast was perfectly suited and the rooms were comfy and well-decorated. I will definitely be back
