Hotel Gasthof Zum Storch

The hotel is spread over many buildings, so far we have stayed in both the main building as another one a few doors away. Large apartments, good amenities in the shower, good beds. Very friendly staff and very good breakfast. Good location close to the highway. Sufficient parking, no EV charging.

We have now seen 3 apartments for 4p and there is quite a difference between them whilst the price is the same. But the staff is very friendly and will offer another option if available.

The pictures on booking.com show that that comfort rooms have a bathtub but that does not appear to be the case. Then 175 euros for a room is a lot!

Beautiful town

The beds/matrasses were very uncomfortable. No airco inside made it very hot in the family room with 5 people.

The hotel was friendly enough to waive the no-show fee when we arrived and noone opened the door.

Even though they have a 24h reception, if you arrive after closing you need to press a bell which connects to the owners mobile phone. When we arrived the forwarding wasn't enabled and we couldn't enter the hotel.. We had to go and sleep somewhere else.

Good location near the motorway in a quiet village,no problem with parking and late check in. Very good variety for breakfast.

It was cold in the room

Very clean hotel with large and newly renovated rooms, with a nice breakfast in a quiet and lovely town.

I booked at the last minute and turned up 30 minutes later as I wanted a hotel near the motorway, but in a quiet location. hotel on the town square, storks in nests on the roofs around the square and town hall, lots of parking outside. nothing was a problem. staff super friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. food was delicious in the restaurant in the evening.

the decor was a little dated, but in its defence was super clean which more than made up for it.

We had a large room on the second floor, directly under the roof. The room was so hot that none of the four of us were able to sleep more that 2-3 hours. The corridor was very cool as it was air conditioned. These rooms in the second floor, or at least room 27, badly needs an air conditioner. Too bad we could not sleep, as otherwise the room was very clean and very well equipped.

Even the hotel is located in a village near the highway, we did not hear any noise in our room. the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom very clean. We had WIFI and a huge TV. The personnel was super friendly, and quick. There is a Restaurant as well, where we had a delicious dinner with good wine at a reasonable price. We will for sure book this hotel again, as there are nice historical places near by, which we did not have the time to visit now, but want to in the future.

This is a small typical German hotel but probably the heart of the village as it has a large function room. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Portions were very generous and the food good quality. We had no trouble parking.

Nothing about the hotel except a slight problem finding the correct building!

Clean and close to the motorway A3.

In the room was a cind of smell like not being refreshing... Same as when you keep the room with the windows closed for long time...otherwise all good for one night stay.

Small detail but there was still some rubbish in our apartment. Bot other than that great stay. We’ll love to come back

The rooms don't have air conditioning and you die of heat and if you open the window you can't sleep because of the sound of the church bells that ring even at night.

We had a lovely stay. The room was superb, and the staff was wonderful, especially during breakfast.

Although the hotel is located in a nice overall setting, there was a significant amount of construction (for either road repair or replacing underground pipes). so the immediate surroundings were not as pleasant as otherwise expected.

Spacious family room, friendly personnel, in the middle of a surprisingly beautiful little town, not far from the highway.

I shared a triple room with the kids. It was very nice and clean. Best of all, there was a table and enough chairs to spend the evening with board games together. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Dinner was served very kid-friendly too.Very family friendly. The staff is great and you immediately feel at home.Even though I was the only person with kids, I felt very welcome. Very central in Schlüsselfeld, easy to walk everywhere. Easy to reach via motorway, yet gar enough from the motorway so that you can't hear it. Very quiet.

The picture at the entrance door shoes a pool that I couldn't find at the hotel. The hotel descriptiom on Booking.com doesn't mention a pool and I think there is none. Thus, the picture confused me.It isn't a cheap stay, but this might be to due to post-Covid - now the hotels have to charge more because they need to follow special rules and they also might have to charge a little to make up for the loss of the "lost months".
