    Pros +

    • Staff is amazing, food in the restaurant is superb, clean, great value for money!
    • We are a family of four and stayed in a one-bedroom apartment.I had somehow imagined the apartment would be next to the hotel or something, but it was about a three-minute walk away.It has everything you need, except a water kettle. There is a cozy local trattoria on the same street. It’s easy to access the hotel if you don’t mind walking. We enjoyed our stay there. Hotel staff, especially at the reception were all very friendly.
    • A very nice hotel with a variety of rooms of different standards, so good to ask for a room in the main part of the hotel as de-centralized rooms seem less comfy.

    Cons -

    • When you stay on the apartment side, you can park your car in the private area inside the gate in front of the apartment. I know it can’t be helped because it’s a renovated old building in a crowded residential area, but parking can be a bit tricky if you have a big car. I would recommend coming with as small a car as possible. Our bedroom faced the street, and there was quite a bit of traffic, especially in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, it might bother you quite a bit.
    • 3 euro per person for the service in the hotel restaurant is way too much! Also, it is not mentioned in the menu.
    • Gutter smell in bathroom

Restaurant for Dinner and Breakfast was superb - great quality

Parking was a little chaotic but arrived very late and got lucky with a car park space outside the hotel but has to be away by 8.30.

Hotel Ala d'Oro is a gem, exuding old-world charm with a touch of timeless elegance. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a top-notch experience. Plus, the hotel is very dog-friendly.

    Everything was great

The hotel is very comfortable and decent, perfect breakfast, nice location. the room was comfortable and warm. The bed was perfect.

A bit more expensive than you can expect from the town. We wanted to stay one more night but the price was 140 euros which is too expensive.

Good location, and very kind staff.

The breakfast not so good! Not really fresh things and also the beds where so uncomfortable.. the moquette of the hotel it smells a lot. Once you go out of the room you fell the bad odors.

The location, the quiet, especially at night. The breakfast was phenomenal! Evening meals also very good. Reception and other staff couldn't have been more helpful.

I was a bit cold at night, the blanket was very thin.

Staff very welcoming, location was good for travelling to other cities on trains, good food nearby and well placed for the course I was taking.

I spent only one night in this hotel, but everything was great. Very nice service, clean rooms and delicious products for breakfast. I sincerely recommend!

The service, location, and price were great. Also being a hotel, paper work required in Italy very easy.

    9NeilPosted on: 9-17-2024

Nice, comfortable room. Breakfast was great. Everyone was very helpful.

I picked the one day when the restaurant was closed. But that was my fault.

    8FabioPosted on: 9-6-2024

Breakfast is very rich and excellent, similarly if you decide to take advantage of the restaurant, quality is also excellent and at a reasonable price. Personnel is kind. Kettle and minibar present in the room.

The hotel is quite old, despite room was renovated. Furniture is essential (but with a good desk and sockets).I didn't manage to make the AC work: the "old" device to control it wasn't working and apparently there is a slot for a new device, but just the slot, nothing in. I've anyway to admit that I didn't ask for help on that.Parking place is mandatory there, the one provided by the hotel comes at 10€ / day and is very narrow with limited places (reservation warmly suggested). In other words it's not small the space allocated to each car, but when full it's very difficult to get in / out due to the very limited maneuvering space.

Great value for money. Everything was clean, comfortable, really nice breakfast and very professional staff.

    10MariaPosted on: 8-21-2024

Wonderful premises easilly accessible, very kind and helpful employees (receptionists, cleaning ladies, waitresses), amazing selection for breakfast. Really close to Ravenna (Lugo is very beautiful as well) and the area all around, lots of supermarkets, nice restaurants and lots of parking places around the hotel that cost very little. The hotel room was big for my 4-member family, the matresses really comfortable and the bathroom amazing. We were initially planing to spend four days in the area, but we liked the hotel so much that we extended our trip by two more days!!!!The PERFECT hotel for our stay. We would definitely recomend it!!!
