Hotel Speiereck

The Hotel is located very close to the skiing Grosses Speiereck. The parking lot is right in front of the hotel. On the first impression hotel looks a bit old school, but hotel says on booking website very comfortable bed and cover, room service everyday. What was totally extraordinary: three courses dinner. That was delicious. The breakfast was served as self service, with limited offer which was every day the same, but I think every one with different taste will be satisfied (I totally was). Coffee machine with nespresso capsules was just great start of the day! Personal was just great, the owner and also all the other people were positive and very helpful. After skiing I enjoyed finnish sauna every day and had it exclusively for me. The only disadvantage is no resting place after sauna. In the end I totally recommend this Hotel and I might visit it again! Thank you for a great stay!

Hotel Speiereck is operating in a traditional Austrian building, where the wooden beams and coloumns give a warm and authentic mood to the place, just like the huge green tile stove in the restaurant area."Old" an "new" meet here in an exciting way: the strong 70-80s feeling is compensated by the modern pieces of furniture in the rooms.The ski holder at the entrance and the heated ski boot holder in the basement are very useful, while the sauna is a great place to warm you up after the day on the hill.The parking space of the hotel is limited, but the open parking area of Speiereck Ski area (free of charge) is just 200m away, which can be easily walked even with smaller kids.The staff was very kind and even more helpful during our stay!I definitely recommend the half-board:The continental breakfast has everything you need for a good morning start (cereals, meat, fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods, etc.).In the evening there is a 3 course dinner with special dishes of perfect quality and quantity, served in an elegant restaurant's style.We had a great time in Hotel Speiereck, I'd like to return once!

There was only one blanket, which was too warm - it would be good to have a lighter blanket too as an option.The temperature of the room was hard to set for an optimum - sometimes it was very warm, sometimes cold.The hot water needs minutes to arrive to the shower on the first floor from the central heater located in the basement.

Very nice place, spacious room with atmospheric design. Beautiful mountain view outside. Tasty breakfast. Highly recommended.

Good location on the main street of the village, easy to find. Friendly, helpful staff with good English. Clean room and bathroom. Good breakfast. I would come back here.

My single room was not so spacious, but it was ok for one overnight on a bike tour.

We had a stop over on our way to Croatia and only managed to arrive after 23:00. We phoned the host to ask if a late check-in would work for him and that was no problem at all. Very friendly host in general actually.Also nice and clean rooms. The rooms were not too big and especially the bathroom was rather small, but it was definitely alright. Nice breakfast as well (but don't expect anythin special).

Size of the bathroom. There was no hot chocolade available during breakfast.

The old furbishment (bathroom), but I understand the owner is going to replace it.The breakfast was tasty, but a little too poor.

Excellent facilities. All rooms are just renovated and this is something very much different from what the hotel was before. The staff is extremely welcoming and the food is perfect! Absolutely brilliant value for the money!

I loved my stay at Hotel Speiereck and am happy to have found a place I can look forward to visit every year. The hotel had be renovated with new beds and linen as well as other things which made the stay perfect. The food was delicious and a big plus to be able to eat something else than ‘schnitzel’ - breakfast was fresh and lovely, perfect fuel before heading out to the mountain! I have to give big thanks to Starri and Maggi for making my stay their priority and putting in the extra. See you again next year!
