This family-run hotel is located in picturesque Bavarian alpine surroundings, 0.6 mi from the center of Mittenwald. Free WiFi and private sauna is possible daily for an extra charge and by prior arrangement, unfortunately, it is not possible to book a sauna on the day of arrival as well as bike hire and ski storage. The bright nonsmoking rooms at Hotel-Garni Drachenburg are decorated in neutral colors, some featuring a terrace or balcony. Each room offers a TV, a seating area and a private bathroom. A breakfast buffet is served every morning. Guests have various dining and drinking opportunities within 0.6 mi walk. The guest house also provides a sled rental service. Hotel-Garni Drachenburg is located directly next to several cross-country skiing and hiking trails. Popular excursions include hiking or cycling to Elmau Castle via Lake Lautersee and Ferchensee (90 minutes).

- The bathroom was nice, and I liked the way they folded the towels.
Cons -
- The hotel manager insulted us, the hostess at breakfast gave us the seats away from the view and would not help us, while she was very kind to the Germans there. I was charged 17 euros too much for the room and the manager would not fix the problem.
