Cons -
- I didn’t know they lacked air conditioning but it turned ok as we only had one night of heatAlso didn’t know they didn’t provide a kettle with coffee or tea in the room
- The check-in was a little complicated, my credit card wasn't accepted. I must call the service number to solve the problem.
- The smell in the room was unbearable. The bathroom does not have ventilation, except for a window. Therefore, it had a can with a bunch of deodorant sticks, which were the source of smell as well. The only choice is to sleep with an open window. But then it gets cold and noisy. The bed was old, hard and creaky. The rest of the furniture seems to be from the 20th century.

Very convenient for families. Beautiful and good location to explore the region. Nice staff and tasty breakfast.
The location is great, close to the railway station. The breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean, warm and cozy. The stuff was very friendly.
The hotel is close to the Ebensee Landungsplatz train station. The staff is friendly and nice. The breakfast was ok.

It’s one of those hidden gems that you can’t stop praising, but also want to keep it secret. Locals travel to Ebensee a lot, but not as many international tourist. Our hotel had everything needed. Excellent room, excellent breakfast, super convenient location close to everything. And restaurant by hotel is just is exceptional.
It was strange not to have front desk available 24/7- but people in Austria know hot to work right, instead of overworking. Overall we didn’t have issues with that, but I can see how it will be a bit inconvenient for a foreigner coming in the evening time.
An excellent family-run hotel, and its restaurant is excellent too. The breakfast is of superb quality and offers a huge selection of everything you could want, including non-dairy milk, which I appreciated. The WiFi is good and is secured with a password. Many of the rooms have a balcony, which I really appreciated having. The hotel is very convenient to reach by train (to Ebensee Landungsplatz) and is a good place to set out from on walks into the mountains. There's a lovely lido with good facilities at Rindbach, about twenty minutes' walk from the hotel, where you can swim in the Traunsee, and also a spot near the hotel, reached on foot by a subway (underpass) under the main road, where you can get to the Traunsee (with a diving board!). I would be very happy to stay here again.Ebensee is full of history about the production of salt which you can find out about from the town trail and the museums, part of the story of this region's export of salt using the Traun to transport it.
The only thing I can complain about in the hotel is that my mattress was a foam one, which was comfortable but not firm enough for some people, including me, but which I didn't realise until the end of my stay was going to cause me some back pain.Otherwise the only thing I was sad about was that Ebensee itself doesn't seem to have a centre and there are a lot of empty shops, or ones that don't open much, with supermarkets in new retail developments. There are a few good restaurants but they are spread out. So Ebensee doesn't have a focus either on the lake or on a central street. There is no post office; one of the supermarkets is a Post-Partner agent for postal services but it doesn't sell stamps (which I don't understand at all) but fortunately you can get stamps at the newsagent's/stationer's/confectioner's shop, and on the brighter side there is a greengrocer's which sells fresh fruit and vegetables and a market on Saturdays where, on the day I was there, many kinds of cheeses and meats were being sold.
A very good 3 star hotel with large family rooms.
No air conditioning! Needs better lighting in rooms.
Very nice spacious room, fantastic breakfast, perfect place for starting a trip, nice and helpful personal, Hope we visit this hotel again
The hotel was very pleasant clean with parking and elevator
The 2 men at the reception desk were only there to make a presence for getting their salary not to be agreable with the guests of the hotelThe breakfast was organized to be self service without even caring to put something on the tablesA total indiference towards the guests
It’s clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the restaurant was wonderful. It is close proximity to all the beautiful lakes and hikes in the area.
Very decent hotel. Without luxuries, the hotel is not the newest. But for that price I didn't expect it will be so nice. Big plus for kind staff, great breakfast (and kid's corner in the dinning room!) and of course localisation: we could walk to the lake, children's playground.
Very close to the station, easy to go around and visit places nearby. The apartment was spacious and breakfast was good.
Good
When booking online, it was written that the room with the double bed also has a kitchen inside, which is not true. Disappointed with the response of the staff and booking. Otherwise, nice room, nice view, clean.
Amazing breakfast. Nothing special compared with other hotels, except that all the food tasted very good. Big rooms. Ample parking space.
Only thick winter covers provided while the outdoor temperature was 32 Celsius. Almost no TV channels in English. People yelling and slamming doors on the hallway, but this is not hotel's fault.
Good location, fairly new and spacious room with Mountain View
Breakfast could could offer a little more options (rather basic), kitchen in the room is only cleaned at move out, balcony needs to be renovated
We had a big room with a kitchenette. There was everything that we needed to have some snack or little dinner in the room. There is a fridge, coffee maker, and oven but not a dishwasher. We also appreciate a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountain. The parking space is right in front of the hotel. Breakfast is fine with enough selection to choose from. Also, there was a little teapot and a selection of good tea. Feuerkogel cable car is within walking distance and the train station as well. There is also a hotel restaurant where they cook decently. We were very satisfied here and I could recommend this hotel.
We are sleepers but get up early enough to catch breakfast. But each day the cleaning lady came to our room while we were still in bed or still in the room but then never come back to clean.
It is a very nice family run hotel. I can totally recommend it.I found it by accident, it was marked as having good internet, and it was in the center of a region, where I needed to go to 3 towns for work. I stayed a day longer as one meeting was cancelled, so worked in the room, which was very well possible, Teams meetings and all as the internet is indeed excellent. I ate only one night at the restaurant, as it was closed 2 days I was there (Closing days are Tuesday and Wednesday) and the food was excellent. One night I asked where to rent a bike and the owner gave me a very good e-bike, so I enjoyed the region, rode 40K!Rooms are large and well equipped, bathroom had a bath, which was nice too and the room also had a big balcony, with view on the mountains. Parking is safe, big and free. It is very good value for money. Breakfast is excellent and I will surely come back, when I need to be in the region.
Nothing !
We loved the hotel, perfect place for a family. We had a suit - large room, kitchenette with everything needed, the room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, there was a space with toys for kids in the breakfast room. The hotel itself is located on a very good place with a large parking, there's a good playground next to the hotel. For those travelling by train the train stop is very close to the hotel. Overall all the staff was very friendly and helpful.Thank you, Andreas for creating a great atmosphere I the hotel :)
The hotel is perfectly located. Despite the proximity of the street, the rooms are not noisy at all. The room is large, lovely new furniture, great comfy mattresses!Good breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, cheese. Everything you need for breakfast. There is a coffee machine.Lovely, polite staff. There is a restaurant at the hotel. Great cook! The food is very good. Draft beer Eggenberg!
