This heritage building from the 19th century is located in Bad Bergzabern. Hotel Luise offers a garden and terrace, and is well located for hiking and cycling excursions. The building was originally a nuns' retreat, and the renovated rooms and suites still retain much of their original charm. All rooms include a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. A rich breakfast is served in the stylish vaulted rooms or else on the terrace in good weather. The hotel has its own (log cabin) kota barbecue for up to 12 people. This is available all year round for a surcharge. Bad Bergzabern is located on the Palatinate Southern Wine Route, bordering France. There are many nearby woods as well as hiking and cycling trails. There are also thermal baths nearby.

All was fine except having to run across the very busy road to get to reception, breakfast, bike shed etc.Breakfast is unequaled in this price category.

Bathroom is ver small
Breakfast was wonderful, staff was very helpful and friendly. View was wonderful and location was great. They helped us with all our requests.
The beds was two single beds pushed together which did not work that well or us :)
The building looks cool
It is a very dirty hotel. There are many many bugs in the room. Service finishes very early. No drinking water, no water cooker, very bad experience
Quiet!
Firstly images shows nice old fashioned German hotel, yet the actual hotel was a modern concrete building across the road. Nice inside but then was place in a room in older building 100 metres down the road!!!! Not even in the hotel.There was no airconditioning (32 degrees outside) and room was very hot.Had to walk to breakfast along the road and was more like a mess hall than dining room.Not impressed and used to german quality!
Our room was at the back of the hotel and nice and quiet.Most helpful and friendly personnel.
Helpful staff in restaurant due to our late arrival
Being housed in the adjoining apartment block away from the main hotel with no lift and based on third floor. No help with luggage even though reception knew we were pensioners and very tired after a delayed journey starting with a 4 hour plus delay at Folkestone.
