Pros +
- Very nice landscape surrounding the Kloster. Nice buildings, free parking
- Spectacular location and the buildings. Simple large rooms with all you need.
- It’s well maintained with beautiful views. If you have time and want to spend a couple of days, maybe one day max for some, it’s a beautiful place at the edge of the world.
Cons -
- Doors a bit loud when closing (heavy) - but one gets used to it
- The evening buffet was simply not attractive. We would gladly have paid more for a better meal
- Make sure you arrive during the day, because there is absolutely nobody in the night who can assist you. It’s very difficult to find some hotel room and super scary if it’s in the night. Service staff at breakfast was nice, receptionist was a nightmare. Check out time is 9:30am and she was calling exactly at 9:30am to kick us out. No smile no welcome no one extra good morning, just “you have to pay and leave…”. Definitely not a person who should work in service industry. Maybe it’s not a hospitality thing there anyways. What I particularly like is the owner offers all breakfast leftovers to their employees or people live and work there. They were sitting next to us having breakfast, that’s crucial.

The location is absolutely magnificent! The former convent is set amongst a forest and the river jagst, that you can warily swim in in summer…The surroundings and the convent itself are just pure beauty and relaxation. So are the high walled ceilings..The rooms are impeccably clean. The breakfast great with great choices. However, Germans in hospitality still need to understand, it would be vital to show their guests they are more than welcome to stay or even ask questions..I was told Germans are not used to being treated in a smiling, friendly manner: sorry, rubbish!Everyone wants to be treated like that, thus has nothing to do with country of origin! Also: I was born and raised in GER…

Attractive collection of old buildings and church. Nice beer garden nearby that overlooks the church property.
I would have liked to have known in advance that our rooms would not be located in the main building. Instead, we were in a less attractive and non-historical building a short walk from the central area.
Beautiful property with very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely quiet. Thus able to get an excellent nights sleep to recover from transatlantic flight.
