Pros +
- Handy for the via rhona cycle route, restaurant at hotel, lots of character in buildings.Though there was not a room to put bikes, they are in the hotels open courtyard, it felt ok to leave them locked up outside
- nice rooms
- Great restaurant with home cooking. Friendly staff. Very bike friendly.
Cons -
- Buildings seem a little tired in places, fruit at the breakfast was past its best. A more secure bike store could reassure wary cyclists
- Unfortunately, there were no vegetarian options on the main menu. The waitress was very unfriendly and wouldn't offer me anything else or try to combine anything from the starters. I had to come up with this idea myself. Not very hospitableCheck-in only possible after 17.00
- Rooms are dark and need more air circulation.

Great restaurant with home cooking. Friendly staff. Very bike friendly.

The room was perfect sized with a nice big window in the back, bed was comfortable. We had lunch there which was very delicious and genuine homemade food. The staff were very welcoming and friendly even though with limited English, we felt very welcomed and comfortable around them. There was ample parking and the location was perfect. The whole stay was very charming and very well priced!
The toilet was just across the bed and the door was very thin wood, it felt like there was no door. The breakfast was a bit too basic for the price charged. We could hear every person who walked close by to our room or was next door to us
Rustic place near Rhone. Perfect stop-over when cycling the Via Rhona. Walibi amusement park nearby.
Staff were friendly, bed was comfortable, good restaurant, charming building
Noisy sanitary plumbing ?
by the river, great cycling stop, very friendly staff, family feeling, peaceful
mosquitos and barking dogs
Good restaurant
Bathroom / toilet was rather basic. Promised secure storage for bikes did not exist
I did not even get a chance to enter the room because there was no one at the hotel. It was (as per my experience) closed and I called them multiple times to be forwarded to voicemail. I stayed there for around 40 minutes in the rain and when I finally decided to leave and find another hotel (which I did), I was called by the hotel's number and asked to come back.
Could be a seasonal thing in this part of France, the pictures posted on almost all travel and booking sites are mis-leading. After driving 650kms and reaching the hotel at the exact time I mentioned I would arrive, I thought that this place would be lively and welcoming as per how they advertise themselves, but in reality, felt very scared, unsafe and alone to be there in the dark while it was pouring cats and dogs, almost like a deserted haunted house.Knocked almost all doors to no avail, my mind couldn't accept me spending the night there. No matter what season it is in the future, will never go back. It may be an isolated incident due to lack of communication between their management and staff but it was an experience that un-necessarily cost me 70euros. Sorry, but this is the reality.
the hoteL has a very rustic charm
Booking.com process was slow and could not process my payment. I had to pay directly with the hotel.
despite the heat and no air con the room was cool.
breakfast on Sunday only starts at 8am - a bit late for cyclists in the summer heat.
Restaurant was closed due to holiday. The hostess offered to go get everyone pizza which was muchly appreciated as we were on bikes! Very helpful!
handily placed, a couple of kilometres from the Via Rhona cycle path. Inexpensive - slightly rustic feel to the place - but clean and good for an overnight stop.
unfortunately it was a National holiday so the restaurant was closed but the bar was open and the young lady in charge took orders from guests and drove to a nearby Take-Away to bring us pizzas. From the look of the facilities on site it would seem that on another night the service would have been much better.
Great location and very friendly and accommodating hosts. A nice buzzy atmosphere. Clearly a very popular place.
It was all good.
Parking; brilliant. Place is great for atmosphere. Quiet. Nice rooms. (our second visit here). The restaurant is superb. Good value, difficult to beat it anywhere.
Bed gave me backache! Room very hot. Immense duvet is ridiculous in Summer - a single sheet would have sufficed. Difficult ti get cool in the night when opening the window lets in mozzies.
The hotel could have been a coaching house, with a main building and (cyclist) stables around the courtyard. Room was an okay size, but quite dark and even damp. Modern shower. Restaurant had good range of country food, plus a limited pizza menu for vegetarians.
Delay to checking in times, and perhaps due to Covid, no restaurant/ cafe or bar to pass the afternoon. Room was dark and the WC was squeezed into a narrow alcove. Cycle storage was in the courtyard, open to side winds, and only secured by own cycle cable to an aluminium cycle rack.
An excellent stop for us on the ViaRhona Velo-route. Simple but adequate for our needs.
Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food. Excellent value for money. We were on a cycling holiday and this place was perfect for us. Room lovely as cool.
Nothing. All good.
Lovely place with a lot of character. Nice evening meal!
Very French, exactly what we wanted on our trip to the Alps, authentic friendly hotel.
