Very simple hotel nothing extra, staff not particularly friendly. We finally stayed for one instead of two nights.
Very convenient. Lovely location - good walk round the lake before dinner and nice town.Safe secure parking. Good sized room and excellent large bathroom.Great food and friendly efficient service at dinner.
Wi-Fi patchy and needed repeated log ins.Assumption of a member of staff that we were leaving without paying when we took luggage to car prior to settling our bill. Most other diners were clearly on business (no fault of the hotel!) which spoilt the ambience in a good restaurant.
Nice location by the lake. Modern, clean and nice restaurant.
Very poor internet connection in the bedroom.
Room was well designed but quite small - and the whole place felt a bit clinical.Excellent shower.Good restaurant... with wonderful view over lake
One member of staff seemed to have no idea about serving drinks...Wifi was terrible - kept disconnecting and ask for details every few minutes.
Nice location. Simple clean rooms. Nice family atmosphere in dining room. Good breakfast
The bed was rather small. The restaurant was very busy and the very few staff members seemed very over stretched but they did their best. The food was good though.
Great location & staff were great as messaged to say we were going to arrive much later than planned as had broken down. They even called us later in the evening to explain the doors would be locked and how to get in. Night staff were very helpful. Wonderful views of the lake when we woke up and Nantua is a lovely village. We even found a market in the town square for some provisions & some lovely local patisseries.
The pillows were awful. Key to happy guests is a good nights sleep & the pillows seemed like they were filled with chunks of foam. Thank goodness we made a last minute decision to bring our own!!!
Perfectly placed in front of the lake, parking available and a nice restaurant. Very clean and well looked after with modern furniture.
There was just shampoo in the shower and by the sink and no kettle in the room for a quick coffee or tea.
Position next to LakeGreat restaurant Super food and excellent value
The Bedrooms are soulless and institutional Apart from the restaurant The accommodation is totally charm freeNeeds some Tender Loving care The rooms were like living in a functional plastic cell
Nice modern hotel with good and clean facilities, and super friendly staff. Fine breakfast too!
A very nice hotel in a stunning location. The reception staff were most welcoming and efficient.
The desk lamp in our room was broken. This would have been perfectly apparent to whoever prepared the room. In the restaurant, we ordered a Pouilly Fumé with dinner, and they brought it in two half bottles. The first bottle was opened and poured at room temperature. Despite asking for an ice bucket three times, only the second bottle was served chilled. This was the only real negative to a fine hotel and the excellent food served in the restaurant.
The location and the lake view in the restaurant and lobby were very scenic. The people at the desk were very friendly. Although restaurant is closed on Sunday (not on website?) we could preorder some salads and they were served well. Parking was also OK,
The toilet in the bathroom was in a very small space, could be an issue for some people in that room. The frogs were also quite loud at night (garden view) but some may see that as a benefit :-)
Only stopped on night but good location, not much in the Town and we should have used the Restaurant
Amazing views across the lake and to the high mountains all around. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds, great hot shower. Compact but exactly what the traveller needs. The restaurant food is first class - really good - but they don't have enough staff serving so it's pretty slow. We were not in a rush & enjoyed it very much . Lovely people running the hotel
Dining room has excellent views of the lake. The kitchen is very good. Cheerful staff. Plenty of free parking and an interesting collection of rugby shirts on the walls.
Although the menu was a good set of choices, it would have been pleasant to see a dish with the famous Sauce Nantua available.
It was modern, clean and in a great location on the edge of a lake. There is a restaurant at the hotel.
Nothing really, but the menu was limited and a bit pricy.
Dinner was absolutely delicious and far exceeded our expectations! Great value for money but more so, exceptional taste, flavours and presentations.... compliments to the Chef!
A few more amenities... Extra/ spare toilet tissue especially for a 2 night stay...nicer, non reusable drinking glasses....soap or at least more body wash/soap/ hair products ( our room had only a tiny amount in a large container).
The view and the area is magnifique! Breakfast with the view to the lake. Breathtaking.
I had a room at the ground floor and it was extremly cold. The heating is not working properly.
Nice location overlooking the lake. Easy parking, dog friendly, good food.
Rooms are a little basic and a bit small. Service in the restaurant is extremely slow and it was the same the last time we stayed here.
