Hôtel-Restaurant de l'Embarcadère features a perfect location near the center of Nantua, along the quiet edge of the lake and by the mountains. It offers a garden and free Wi-Fi. The hotel features air-conditioned bedrooms with an private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and direct dial telephone. Some rooms are suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Every morning, guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet or have breakfast in the comfort of their room. They can also sample traditional specialties at the hotel's restaurant offering a panoramic view. Guests can go fishing in Nantua Lake or drive 7.5 mi to the Haute Chaine du Jura Natural Reserve. Bellegarde-sur-Valserine Train Station is 15 mi away.

Pros +
- Very convenient. Lovely location - good walk round the lake before dinner and nice town. Safe secure parking. Good sized room and excellent large bathroom. Great food and friendly efficient service at dinner.
- Nice location by the lake. Modern, clean and nice restaurant.
Cons -
- Wi-Fi patchy and needed repeated log ins. Assumption of a member of staff that we were leaving without paying when we took luggage to car prior to settling our bill. Most other diners were clearly on business (no fault of the hotel!) which spoilt the ambience in a good restaurant.
- Very poor internet connection in the bedroom.
