This small chalet hotel is located in the center of Grindelwald, 1148 feet from the train station and the First cable car. Wi-Fi and parking are available free of charge. The quiet, south-facing rooms at the Tschuggen offer views of the North Wall of the Eiger and the mountain panorama. All rooms are nonsmoking, and some rooms have a balcony. The Tschuggen features a bicycle and ski storage room. A traditional Swiss breakfast buffet is served each morning. Dinner is available in the hotel opposite the Tschuggen. Guests of the Tschuggen enjoy a 50% discount on the admission to the indoor pool and ice rink at Grindelwald’s sports center (656 feet away).

Everything... the owners are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is superb, in the center of the village yet so quiet. All amenities that can be expected at this range, very cheerful and tasteful. Fine breakfast. We will be back!

Cons -

This hotel is to my mind ideal, and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Alps. Don't forget to enjoy sunrise and sunset on the Eiger!
