The stylish Alpinhotel Bort is located next to the middle station of the Grindelwald-First gondola elevator and offers you rooms with free Wi-Fi and glacier views. In winter, the Alpinhotel Bort is only reachable by cable car. Fine regional cuisine is served à la carte throughout the day in the cozy restaurant and on the panoramic terrace. All rooms in the Alpinhotel Bort have been renovated in 2009, are flooded with natural light and most offer panoramic views of the Eiger's north face or the Grindelwald glacier.

The hotel misrepresents its location and puts guests at serious risk. Accessing the hotel requires driving on an extremely steep and narrow road, which becomes highly dangerous, especially in winter. Despite these hazards, the hotel management refuses to accept cancellation requests, leaving guests with no alternative. Additionally, due to the difficulty of reaching the town center, guests are forced to dine at the hotels restaurants. The claim that the hotel is 2.2 km from Grindelwald center is misleadingstaying here feels more like being trapped on top of a mountain. If you value your freedom and safety, I strongly advise against booking this hotel.
