    Pros +

    • Despite a little hiccup on my booking Stephanie did all she could to fix it, including having the kitchen working a little bit long. Probably the highest customer suppoer I've ever had in Germany. Highly recommended especially to those who are travelling with kids.
    • Nice clean room, comfy beds, well-furnished, enough room, nice architecture. Oh, and super friendly staff (duh, it's a family hotel :)).
    • The room was large with a balcony and the room including the bathroom was very clean. The staff and other guests were friendly and conversational.

    Cons -

    • nothing to complain about
    • Nothing of note.
    • The hotel is located in a small town and just a bit too remote from any supermarket, decent restaurant, etc.. The hotel provided water boiler, but no coffee.

Great location: a pharmacy, a bank and a Turkish restaurant all in less than 50 meters away. Good breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us with a lot of info about the nearby restaurants where we could eat due to the fact that their own restaurant was closed (we were informed in advance about it).

The sliding glass bathroom door in the family room is a bit of a turn off. You definitely wake the others when you use it during the night / early morning.

Big room, convenient location for our family car trip from Prague to Italy, tasty breakfast, smiling and helpful staff speaking English.

As a part of the modern design, the bathroom door is semi-transparent. This could be an issue if someone uses the bathroom at night, therefore illuminating the bedroom.

We had the chance to stay at this wonderful little family owned hotel on the way back to Switzerland from Budapest. Highly recommended ?

Very comfortable stay, nice rooms and excellent staff. We would recommend to have dinner there as well. We stayed for one night on the way to a ski holiday in Austria. We will come back.

Room was a good size. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Parking was free out back. Easy city to walk. Quiet

    All was good

super staff , great food , comfortable bed

Super welcoming family hotel, everything was new, super clean but really homie. Plenty of options for breakfast even for people with allergies. We will be happy to come again.

My partner was missing a bidet and we were a bit struggling with sheets, probably some a bit harsh detergent. Nothing serious.

Clean, comfortable hotel (need earplugs because close to the church, ringing hourly)

Restaurant of below average quality and service!Good place for hotel but not for eating…

Zum Schloss is a great family hotel located in a charming German village. The communication with Stephanie was very smooth and the amenities/breakfast exceeded our expectations. We will for sure stay there again, if in the area.

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. This is ran by the family and it’s certainly a sense you get, so homely. Refurbished to a high standard and fabulous dinner in the restaurant sat out on the terrace. Breakfast was fabulous and a good choice. Felt very comfortable and the bed was amazingly comfortable.

Only negative is the room was very hot during the high temperatures

I defenitely liked the size of the room. It was big. the bathroom was new and nice. Two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. I had a free parking place right in front of the hotel. The owner family was engaged and very friendly.

The WLAN did not work. First the owner wanted to fix it. That didn't work. Than he offered me a place in the restaurant . There I could use the WLAN without a problem. He offered me a free coffee while I was sitting there.
