    Pros +

    • Great location! Excellent staff and very good breakfast!
    • Great family room with views onto slopes. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast and lovely dinner with views.
    • Nice hotel, great location, food and staff were great.

    Cons -

    • close to hiking trails away from the center of town.
    • The room we stayed in was a little too warm (probably not a problem for the skiers coming here). So we usually left the window open to air/cool down. But there were no mosquitoes whatsoever, so fine by me in the end.
    • Nothing much. Rooms and toilets are small, but what else can you expect at this price. No complaints. Kudos to the staff for running an amazing place

Really great place. This is right at the bottom of a tracking route up to the "Puy de Sancy." Very close to the cosy village Mont-Dore. We had dinner twice and breakfast too, and it met/exceeded expectations.Big bonus for having a charging point for EV's right in front!I would come again.

The room we stayed in was a little too warm (probably not a problem for the skiers coming here). So we usually left the window open to air/cool down. But there were no mosquitoes whatsoever, so fine by me in the end.

Staff was amazing, helpful and the location was just perfect. It's exactly where the trek fir puy de Sancy begins.we reached late and the staff helped us get ice for our beer. The location is super beautiful and we ended up watching stars at night from our rooms and woke up to the view of the mountains. One of the best hotel stays ever

Mostly everything, keeping in mind it is a 2 star hotel. Good value for money, at least in June. Clean. Nice views. Comfortable beds. Electric car charger in front of the hotel. Free parking in front of the hotel. Nice restaurant for dinner (also with great views). Babbling brook outside the window.

Room a bit small. Pricy electric car charger (50cents per kWh for 11kW, while Tesla Supercharger is around 35 cents). This is outside the control of the hotel, to be fair.No window in the bathroom. No elevator to the rooms, AFAIK.

THe room was a cozy duplex with a view on the mountains, one queen bed downstairs and two singles on the mezzanine. The shower had great pressure and heat ; the breakfast was definitely up to mountain standards.

    Rooms not entirely sound-proof.

Room had windows to two sides, so good ventilation. Good food on dinner menu. Good dog walking from the door on the opposite side of the valley

    Dedicated car parking spaces limited.

Location is amazing (we preferred that to the nearby township of Mont Dore). Staff were super friendly and helpful, very accommodating. It feels like a mountain chalet with a little plus of comfort and sophistication. Food and breakfast are amazing and very good value for money (if you take the «half pension » combo). Great spot to stay to go to Puy du Sancy and nearby hikes/activities.

Secure parking for our motorcycles was good. The location is very scenic and perfect for carrying on with our journey the next day. Breakfaxt was good too. Overall good value for money.

Lovely hotel and amazing views clean comfortable bedrooms.

Bed was too short for my husband because of the footboard . The dessert was very salty.

Amazing location and views from the restaurant. Evening food was excellent and the breakfast was delicious too. Staff friendly and dealt well with my rotten attempts at speaking French.

Shower head and fitting in twin room was a bit leaky.

The staff is wonderful, they managed to give us breakfast even though it was already closed and they gave us good tips about the area. Really nice people, always smiling and hard working. The place itself is at the bottom of the sancy volcano lift, ideal location. The restaurant is good, the rooms are clean and nice. We were planning to stay 2 nights and ending up staying 1 more night. So don't wait and book!

Nothing! It was all so perfect! (la perfection !)

Lovely staff, stunning view and perfect location.

Rooms need some refurbishment, but still fine.
