The staff were very kind and helpful. The restaurant food was excellent and value for money.
Richelieu is a wonderful town and this hotel is ideally located. Just as well, though, that it has a lift! Comfy beds, but very squeaky boads at top of house. I never sorted out the staircases! Breakfast fine, but had to search for cups/mugs and it took time to discover what was on offer.

A perfect small hotel with friendly staff located right on the main square of this lovely historic town
Have eaten here before but this was the first time of staying overnight. The room was comfortable, clean and bathroom facilities were excellent. We booked a meal in the restaurant and this was exceptional - limited menu but everything was well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We know that they will be extending the hotel this year and adding another 14 rooms. We look forward to staying with them again in 2025. Marvellous experience and would thoroughly recommend a stay here in the heart of Richelieu. Convenient for every facility, including the park of the Duke de Richelieu which is an experience not to be missed as long as you have the legs.

Exceptional Food comfortable beds
Loo seat needed fixing
Great location off of the market square. Lovely restaurant. Very professional staff
Condensation on the windows meant that water was dripping in our room
Nothing. We were put in rooms due to be refurbished NOT the rooms on Booking.Com website. Dirty/peeling paint/black dirty toilets and bath Disgusting from the very first second when we were taken out of the hotel and shown these deplorable rooms in another building. We were told these were the only rooms available. DISGUSTING
See above. They were worse than my garages at home
Perfect location, requested view of the square and was provided it. Hotel has some character and staff were friendly.
Noise travels between rooms a lot. Make sure to book the dinner in advance - we didn’t and had to go elsewhere.
The location, right in the centre of the village.
The room was in an Annex in a street behind the hotel. It was a very dark room with only a velux type window. The bathroom was quite dated and only had a hand held shower attachment.. Along with a bad water stain in the toilet. Nothing like the photos..As the restaurant was fully booked for the evening we were there so we can't comment on the food,Thankfully, we managed to get a pizza and find a cosy bar down one of the side streets.Certainly did not match some of the glowing comments on this site.
Really nice old hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable room, if a bit dated. The restaurant was the highlight we enjoyed a beautiful meal and a great bottle of wine.
Dated decor in our room and the stairs are steep and unlit but there s a lift so no drama
Central location
This was the most expensive stay of three nights in different logis and the most expensive. Unlike the others no complimentary water. No glasses only plastic ones. The room whilst large had a dirty carpet and the coffee machine sold as making our room superior offered two pods only and plastic beakers. The restaurant had virtually no choice so although we booked dinner we ate elsewhere
Lovely and clean room.Parking outside the hotel.Very friendly staff.
We had dinner in the restaurant. My chicken was very dry and overcooked. But my husbands steak was good. They are forgiven because everybody was so nice. ?
Very nice management, dealt with our bicycles in a kind way (stored in an interior courtyard). Comfortable dinner on the outside patio. Inexpensive, located right on the main square, new towels.
Hotel is worn in places (carpets, especially), no ac requiring windows to be open at night with some limited noise.
Free parking outside the hotel building, spacious room with comfortable bed.
We felt that the hotel relies on its central location in a popular tourist town to attract guests, rather than excellent facilities or warmth of welcome from staff. We appreciated free parking and a large, clean and comfortable room but the shower head in the bathroom was broken. The restaurant ambience lacked atmosphere and considering the usual quality of French produce and cooking, the food was disappointing at dinner and average at breakfast.
Great welcome at check in, excellent communication prior to arrival. This hotel is in a beautiful location on the main square with lots of free parking outside. We enjoyed drinks sitting outside & then both dinner & breakfast in the restaurant & all at a reasonable price.
Breakfast was delicious. Location was excellent and easy parking.
Wi Fi and internet connection could perhaps be better.
Location is lovely.Dinner was ok as was breakfast but self serve coffee.
The room was shabby and poor value. The staircase is very narrow and steep maybe in fitting with an old property but still a factor to be aware of.
