    Pros +

    • The property was quaint and secluded with clean and comfortable rooms.
    • I specifically rang in advance to ask if the restaurant was open on the Sunday night that we were staying. I was told yes it was. I went ahead and booked. I then got a message to say that the restaurant was closed. If I had known that it was closed, I would not have booked the rooms. The only terms available to book on line were non refundable, so I could not cancel my booking. We had to drive in the pitch dark to another town to find somewhere to eat. I am very unhappy. I also appear to have paid twice, once to booking.com and once directly at the hotel!
    • River location

    Cons -

    • This is the first time in our travels in France where the staff was not welcoming or accommodating. Upon our arrival, we received a lukewarm reception. Every hotel we stayed in has allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout so we could get lunch into town without having to bring our luggage, however at this accommodation, they said they were prohibited to do so. While our stay was comfortable, the warmth and kindness we have been experiencing during our travels was missing here.
    • The closed restaurant. Paying for the rooms twice.
    • The place was ill kept and untidy. Poor breakfast

    The location was fantastic.

Place was scruffy, indoor pool closed, restaurant staff incompetent, would not give hotel bill without paying first, poor value for money. Was not up to the standard you would expect for the price paid.

We stayed here as attended the Moto GP at Le Mans, it was a late booking on our behalf so affordable choices were limited, however......This place was located next to the river, had a restaurant, bar and spa. As we arrived late, we had to book in at the restaurant (for the room), but the staff were confused and couldn't find our booking, but allocated us a room which was in a block on the first floor. This must have been our room as we went to reception the following day when we got back and there was no mention of an issue. The reception staff and indeed any that we came into contact with were very helpful, friendly and pleasant. The room was comfortable and suited our needs. The distance and ride between the hotel and Le Mans circuit was very straight forward and a nice ride so a good location. We couldn't eat at the restaurant when we arrived, so had to go to a nearby town which was fine.lots of parking, athough mainly gravel, they do have an area of hard ground should bikers want to park there. The restaurant was nice and good value and the food was lovely. We would stay again if we were in the area

As next to a river but also had a pond, midgies are plentiful, unfortunately, due to the age of the building, there is no air con but openable windows which provide relief, but take mossie repellent as you will need it.No fault of the hotel at all but be aware.

Excellent location, very welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room with great extras such as water, coffee, tea, toiletries. The room was spacious. The food was excellent and was introduced to an amazing beer! Beautiful eating outside by the river.

Hard to find any fault here, the only thing I might of liked was access to milk for the tea/coffee but I'm sure if I had asked it would have been provided.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location. The evening meal was delicious, in a splendid setting.Restaurant staff were excellent.

Breakfast is too expensive at 13 euros. We were in room 1 over the kitchen and the staff were chatting loudly outside our window quite late into the night. Also there was what sounded like a turbine noise coming from the kitchen quite early in the morning. Then there was some music coming from there. Not a quiet room!

Delightful converted paper mill from 19th century. Hotel is alongside a river and it's very quiet and soooo relaxing. Staff are friendldly and curtious. All in all very good. Clean rooms. There are other facilities tomuse to - outdoor pool and indoor pool.

In some areas could use some tlc, something I’m sure will be adressed to.
