Pros +
- Very pleasant re-decorated room with reasonable facilities. Evening buffet meal just OK but al a carte offered.Usual French breakfast. Good value for the price
- Easy access from the motorway, staff was very kind, all in all quite a good experience.
- We thought this would be an ideal place to stay to break the journey to Rotterdam as it's just off the motorway. We thought we'd have a meal, a drink and a good night's sleep. That's the only thing positive I can say.
Cons -
- Walls and doors are thin. You can hear everything through.
- None of the above came to fruition. The entrance is a large unwelcoming metal gate, with self check in to allow you entry to the car park. There were no staff, no signage to help you find your room. There are 2 blocks, one that looks virtually derelict, the other marginally better, but still no staff or signage. Room cold, though with a tiny heater that was on when we arrived. Not only is the hotel restaurant closed at the weekend, there is nowhere else in the village to get a meal or drink. The pizza takeaway service in the hotel restaurant did open after we arrived. However by this time we hated the place so much we drove 50 k to the B and B in Chartres, relinquishing our prepaid room for a much better experience at €20 less. In season when the restaurant is open this accommodation might be bearable for one night. However we won't be risking it.
- Unfortunately we had a very disappointing and to be honest quite shocking experience at the As Hotel Orléans Nord Artenay. We decided to go for dinner in the hotel's pizza restaurant. There was one guy doing everything (waiting the tables, making the pizzas, etc.) We had been waiting for our pizza for over 45 minutes when it finally came out. Once we were eating we realized we wanted to cancel the salad we had also ordered so my partner walked over to the kitchen to let the guy know. Upon arrival in the kitchen the guy totally lost it, started yelling and pushing my partner. He walked over to our table, grabbed our pizza and tossed it in the bin and continued yelling at us in a very aggressive tone of voice. There was no way he would calm down. We obviously retreated to our room because he scared the sh*t out of us.The next morning we went up to the reception to discuss the matter but all they said was that they would look at the surveillance cameras and discuss it with management. To us, this is unacceptable behaviour and the guy should be fired. Until then, don't go there.

We normally like the place. We were offered breakfast Sat morning.
There was no reception on Friday evening so booked in at entrance.Only place nearby to eat was McDonalds also that night was thick fog.
Nicely located.
Poor menu. But staff not to blame. Only one person had to run everything.
The room in the end was quite ok
I spent more than hour calling staff and then “booking” to understand where to check in
Everything you need in room. Lovely deep bath and kettle for hot drink. I wasn't too well so this was very welcome. Felt very safe and secure.
Proximity to motorway.buffet restaurant and Litre steins of beer. Friendly receptionist and staff.
Rooms were a little tired.this was my second one night stay there and the previous room was in better condition although it wasn’t all that bad. Functional for a break en route, 4h from Calais.
Prima ontbijt, dinner choise buffet of a la carte, bed was good quality, room is small but with a small dest with watercooker and coffee and tea. Bathroom clean and the water was nice hot.
The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, the lady in the breakfast room was very friendly. after reading many negative reviews of this hotel I was worried I had made a mistake. It was very close to the highway, had secured parking and a good breakfast. The room was functional and clean. I didn’t hear much noise in the room. If you are heading to south or back to the tunnel it’s a decent place to stop the night.
When I went to the restaurant for evening meal the waitress told me that pizzas and burgers were finished for the night and only the buffet was available. Others were eating pizzas and burgers. Maybe I was minutes too late, I don’t know, it was 2000h. The buffet was decent enough although i didn’t get my monies worth as I didn’t want the starter or dessert. I asked for a beer, the waitress replied “Stella Artois or leffe”. “Stella sil vous plait!” I replied, she shouted “un leffe” to the bartender…..so leffe I had. I might have had another Stella but leffe is too strong for me.
Friendly staff.Clean comfortable large bath towels and good shower facilities.Good selection of food too.
Bit of a noise from a pump or fridge during the night?
Very convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable, excellent for stopovers en route North - South auroroutes
Restaurant with buffet, coffee machine in room with teas and coffee, very clean, good beds
Hotel in a village with a selectiin of bakeries, food shops etc close to the motorway. Room was modern, functional albeit on the small side but perfect for overnight stay. Large car park in front with cctv surveillance. Attached restaurant is excellent.
Room perfect to rest after a day driving. Good amenities, modern TV and clean room. I would choose again the hotel if I do the same trip.
Dining facilities.
Pillows. No light in bathroom and the staff were not interested. No WI-FI.
all the staff was very friendly and helpfulthe room was small but adequate for one nightthe breakfast was good too
the room had a bad smell of dog and the bathroom door was al scratched where a dog had been shut in
Location was excellent, close to motorway when driving down to south of France. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was good
