Hotel Les Aubépines

Very helpful hosts who immediately accommodated us for dinner despite our later than expected arrival. Breakfast was also good.

Excellent location near to motorway. Huge bathroom with walk in shower. Right by railway but no noise disturbance but handy for me, as a rail enthusiast, to see some trains. Excellent, friendly service.

No tea/coffee facilities in room but not a necessity.

It is the best place for visiting Illiers. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom unusually roomy. We appreciated the light fixtures that are more flexible than in most other places. The parking was perfect.

The towels and the pillows should be replaced, the breakfast could have more choice. Some hooks in the bathroom would be useful.

Terrific, quiet hotel with easy access, large comfortable rooms, and first rate dining.

Lovely little hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy.Big, airy and very comfortable bedroom with view on to the square below.Easy reach of the village and close to an Intermarche so we could get petrol close by.

The check-in experience was very odd - as we entered the hotel we saw a person standing in the bar - he turned out to be the Reception but was most uncommunicative. I try and speak as much French as possible - he on the other hand tried as few words as possible. We were tired and had had a long drive, more than happy to eat in the hotel so I asked if the Restaurant was open and if I could see the menu. He replied "we have a little veal or fish tonight" and that was it !!!!We didnt stay in the hotel for dinner,

the welcome, short location off the motorway made it easy to find in a charming small historical town

nice little hotel. it’s right next to the railway station, but there are only two trains a day, so you don’t have to worry about being woken up! bedrooms modern and comfortable with nice sized bathrooms

Breakfast was good. Location was out of the way, but we chose it at the last moment.

The room heat was not turned on. We got in late, so there was no one to talk to about it.

It was excellent - we were spending a day in Illiers Combray to visit some sites, especially the Marcel Proust museum, and it was so close to the train station I did not believe it - but it was still on a lovely residential street. The host who checked us in was friendly and amusing, and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was good - not fancy but very tasty and fresh.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners, lovely clean,comfortable room, newly decorated with excellent shower and toilet facilities. Very good evening meal and tasty breakfast. Would recommend.

Calm, clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with a simple aesthetic. Run with environmental awareness by two welcoming hosts. A lovely restaurant too, which uses local produce. A rare find.

Very convenient for an overnight stay off A11 autoroute. Very spacious room with good sized comfy bed. Easy access to private free on site parking. Didn’t get chance to stay very long however it was a very easy and relaxed experience.
