    • A charming castle stayA beautiful castle hotel located in a peaceful village, full of character and charm. The room was comfortable and elegant, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Friendly, attentive staff and a lovely breakfast made the stay even more special. A perfect place for a unique and memorable getaway.
    • Great hotel and the fine dining in the restaurant is highly recommended. The location is perfect for a short walk and there are hike routes in the neighborhood. Don't forget the Champagne Houses around the hotel.
    • Beautifully restored historic building. Set in scenic gardens. Free parking. Superior room in main building was evocatively decorated. Fantastic breakfast in a pretty room - very good quality salmon, scrambled eggs and estate-produced honey. Attractive sitting room with board games.

    Cons -

    • The statue in the hall was a bit spooky at night)))))
    • Honestly nothing. My husband’s only complaint was the hardwood floors were quite slippery in our room and a bit of a trip hazard but I imagine that’s due to wax and maintenance of the antique wood floors. But nothing the slippers that were provided didn’t fix!
    • The interior is not up to standard for the price paid, neither in the living spaces, rooms nor restaurant ! Overall impression is old and poorly maintained. The food is mediocre and not refined at all.

Everything was exceptional. First off it was stunning, soo beautiful, everything in our room and the common areas were perfect. Delicious breakfast, the friendliest and most helpful staff… I was really in awe with this chateau. Already thinking of coming again in the spring to enjoy the gardens! Also loved the resident pigeons. The chateau is located in a very quiet village with not a lot going on, but it adds to the charm. And very close to Épernay and champagne

The place is really beautiful. The Château is really nice and well decorated.

The photos they show on Booking have nothing to do with reality. Our room was evidently the late service room. It was obviously used by the maid or the driver of its former owners. The room had also a very strong feet smell at the entrance. To be ask to pay in the middle of nowhere USD$382 for a room without a proper window (only 2 really high and small windows) sounds like a bad joke. The manager was very kind, but said he could not do anything because they were full. He gave us a bottle of Champagne... It was a nice gesture, but definitely insufficient. I felt framed. Don't you ever let them offer the ¨yellow room¨.

Chateau interior and grounds are gorgeous. Breakfast every morning was very nice. The L'Organerie was very fine dining and fantastic. For a more casual dinner, L'Atelier located right outside the Chateau grounds, was also very enjoyable.

Loved the location. Loved the castle, the food and the surroundings

No conditioner in room, no bathrobe in the small rooms.

The location was excellent—close to the center and ski buses, yet quiet. We appreciated the parking availability, the breakfast, the swimming pool, and the spacious room. The option to pre-order ski equipment and passes was very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a traditional charm, which we appreciated, but some areas could benefit from refurbishment or upgrades. It would also be nice to have a snack bar or kiosk in the lobby for quick bites when needed.

Dining service was good but breakfast was only fair.

We had a poor first impression of the Chateau. The front desk employee was extremely unhelpful and somewhat rude. We requested information regarding lunch, the Chateau did not serve, the desk employee gave us a list and stated we needed to call. There was no other guest waiting for her assistance. Our room was dark, dingy with very worn furniture and a sagging mattress. We understand this is an old Chateau but the furniture was not antique, just old and worn. Our bill for one night, dinner and breakfast was over 500€.

The Chateau and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The family room was actually an apartment, and it was gorgeous and very comfortable.

    Nothing!

Very imposing entrance, as you would expect. The staff were very helpful and the room as comfortable and clean. Im not sure if my office booked this on a special deal but it was good value as well, not that much more than some corporate hotels. The restaurant was very good, serving fresh dishes and some excellent wine to match. All in, it was a great find and I would definately stay here again.

I cant reall find any fault with the accomodation, Restaurant or the staff to be honest.

Our experience at Le chateau d'Etoges is definitely one to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the reception. We got a tour about where the restaurant was, the breakfast place, ...The room was stylish and comfortable, with a beautiful view that perfectly matched the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. We felt right at home and couldn't wait to start enjoying everything the hotel had to offer. The garden is amazing for taking pictures.Dinner was truly super delicious! Each course was a culinary treat, with fresh ingredients and perfect presentation. It was a true feast for the senses! And of course, the requisite champagne made the experience even more special. The staff made sure our glasses were never empty, which added an extra sparkle to the evening!

The breakfast was crowdy and we had to ask the people to bring tea. they should have to to our table and ask by themselves what we wanted to drink. Small point to work on.

The Chateau is amazing! If you feel cimfortable in old manirs and feel relaxed spending time in the nature (gardens) then that is the place for you! Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, tasty food and personal of the hotel is very professional as well. Love the attitude of the place! Really want to go back.

Breakfast should include some fresh vegetables but overall perfect.

We did not take breakfast but eat in the restaurant the night before. The ,menu choices were good so we could manage our spend if required. The wine list was as expensive as we expected but there were a number of wines available by the glass still exhorbitent (in my view) but within reach of guests who do not usually dine at their level. Service was excellent there were a couple of the waiters who looked as if they were learning their trade and this was good to see. The property is as good as it looks in the photographs and the grounds are fabulous.

Not much in reality a dream place located in a tiny village in the middle of not a lot….the sat nav was not too happy at one point and we ended up ipdown a dirt road in the middle of a field…….worrying at the time!

We had a great experience at Le Chateau d Étoges, very elegant and quiet, staff was friendly and helpful; they give us few suggestions to follow our Champagne Trail/Tours. We had diner at one of their restaurants and it was delicious and service outstanding.
