    Pros +

    • Proximity to great fresh food and quality restaurants.Rooftop bar with fantastic views. The interior was a perfect mix of old and new.
    • Secure parking is always great. Breakfast and check in is well organised.
    • The hotel rooms are ok, but the bathroom's are in need of a makeover, my room had a bath, no shower curtain/ screen, but had a shower attachment, so had to sit in the bath to shower, which was a bit weird. Bathroom was generally very tired and shabby

    Cons -

    • Nothing it was all what I was hoping for other than a room with a view.
    • The ground floor beds always seem a little bit damp - like there was a recent water damage - I don't know why they feel like this. Maybe it is the plastic membrane under the sheets. I usually ask for an upstairs room.
    • Rooms could do with updating Was quiet when there so bar didn’t open

Location is good as it is close by the highway so great for our road trip

The room hotel is a bit outdated however comfortable. We saw a mice in the restaurant when we had breakfast so a bit terrifying

The hotel is quite close to the highway, so a good place to stop overnight. There's a pool and a play area for the kids. The rooms are ok, just not what you'd expect from a Novotel, though..

We were there during a particularly hot spell in July, and the air con in the room didn't work well, unfortunately.

Really great dinner with a very helpful and friendly waiter. Food at dinner was very good. Breakfast was OK too. Spacious room with everything we needed for our stay. Wifi OK. Pool was excellent and enjoyed having it to ourselves (not the sunniest or warmest day of our trip).

Decor a little dated and soft furnishings, carpets etc. would probably benefit from updating.

Hotel is comfortable and family friendly. Good layover option.

    Needs renovation.

A perfect stopping place on the way to/from Dordogne - great staff that went out of their way to speak English to us (even though we tried some French!) it was very much appreciated!

    It was all good

Good breakfast and parking. Great location for an overnight stop if you are travelling. Friendly staff

The hotel is very outdated and not clean. Dirty stained carpet in the room and found a big black hair in my towel (we are a blonde family). The pool is not maintained and really disgusting. Restaurant staff was completely overwhelmed and we had to wait almost an hour with our 2 little girls.Even the Novotel sign is zo rusty it could fall off the roof any minute

The breakfast was good.Location is handy for the drive back to Calais.Decent shopping facilities locally.

A rather tired and dated hotel. The pool area is particularly shabby.

Courteous staff, good breakfast and dinners in the restaurant.

Convenient location as overnight stop although to the hotel itself from the road network was horrible and clients should all be warned in advance.Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful but our chicken supreme were both undercooked and bloody/pink on the bone so we could not eat it all.

Receptionist was unhelpful and insisted we dig out our credit card (after a long days travel and having gone round in circles for 10 mins to find the place) in order to pay a security deposit of euro 200. This was inspite of the fact that we have guaranteed the room with our credit card on booking dot com so they already had all the details anyhow and they refused to accept the card via apple pay on our phones. We have travelled Europe on a 4 week roadtrip and this hotel was the only one to insist on this embarrassing regime at check in whilst also insisting that we needed to book a table in the restaurant if we wanted to get any food - even before we had checked in let alone seen the menu. We accept that we were tired after a long days travel but the receptionist understood this and proceeded to insist on following her protocol and did not make any attempt to make us feel welcome.

Breakfast was great, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable.

You cannot drink the water, carpet needs replacing

Restaurant open late. Lot of parking.

Tired room. The whole hotel is in need of work.

    4AngelPosted on: 10-17-2023

Near the highway and just that.

The hotel need an urgent renovation. The toilet in the room never has been renovated in at least 30 years. Maybe has the same age as Jules Verne. Please renovate the toilets and shower.

Excellent diner and breakfast with lovely staff.Husband and son delighted to have Canal + to watch the football!!

Sofa bed is very inconfortable, for very young children only.
