Pros +
- The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked all the artwork and the decor.
- Room, place itself, dinner, wines.
- The chateau's grounds are gorgeous - the gardens were so well manicured and maintained, simply gorgeous. Almost Versailles-like. And the vineyards are always a beautiful backdrop for an accommodation. You can hire bicycles onsite, which we dd, and rode through the vineyards and nearby forest - it was such a highlight for us! The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the room had everything we needed. We were able to order our breakfast to be had in the room, which was a nice touch, too. We also had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was divine. Really, the quality was very high end. Also, the pool was great to jump into after spending the day outside in the heat. Lovely pool with a beautiful view of the vineyard.
Cons -
- I wish we were offered an upgrade to the available room without having to pay more.
- Everything was excellent.
- We thought the room was actually within the chateau but it was actually in a separate and newer-built building, which was fine and not a problem for us. Just letting those who may have thought they would stay in the castle know that's not the case.

Location, room size , breakfast
Lack of Flexibility of front Office despite reservation policy. It turned out we did not secure reservation for dinner in the chateau restaurant despite a mail sent when we booked pointing out the importance of a reservation prior to arrival. I belief and have experienced at other locations that the hotel might put effort in to accommodate its guests. That was not the case att all
A beautiful location, a beautiful full of character building, stunning Woodland, and a beautiful pond with the most interesting friendly funny frogs chatting to each other all the time, love that xxxBut, not impressed with the long wait we had for dinner, my in-laws walked out after one hour waiting, and other people were served in front of us that we arrived before, and the food and portions were tiny, but amazingly tasty, we all know no places perfect,
Run down with very little value add- not even access to the spa or breakfast
The cost was way above average
Good location to A6
The room was outside the chateau in the spa complex which was disappointing. The restaurant had no atmosphere and lacked finesse for the price paid. Some courses were served cold when they should have been hot (cold plates) ☹️ too !
Surroundings. Delicious dinner. Comfortable large room. Nice breakfast. Staff very helpful
Very few English news available. BBC did not work and ITV had some news
Beautiful location. Nice and quiet. Very friendly staff. Bar snacks were restaurant standard.
Absolutely nothing it was perfect
Location and atmosphereOn a closer look: needs renovating
Food in restaurant was a bit disappointing
The hotel grounds are gorgeous, the wine tasting experience place is fantastic.Dining outside was lovely and food was very nice

Beautiful chateau with lovely rooms and gardens and pool. Very helpful staff
It’s beautiful. The only reason was not quite a ten was we were not able to eat in restaurant as very busy but there was a small selection of bar food so not really a big problem . We paid extra for breakfast which was very good
The setting of the Chateau and grounds surrounded by vineyards is stunning. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite. We very much enjoyed the swimming pool especially after a 6 hour drive on a very hot day! The location is perfect for anyone driving North-South on the A6 motorway or touring Beaujolais. Dining in the courtyard made for a delightful evening assisted by good and friendly service. Breakfast is more than adequate with multiple options.
Despite the impressive dinner setting in the courtyard in front of the Chateau, the inventive visual presentation of the food and the excellent service, unfortunately the dinner was bland with little flavour. By comparison to the food in Lyons and Piemonte/Barolo where we had been the week before, the food was flavourless.
Lovely room, beautiful gardens, great wine tasting.
Didn’t feel welcoming, other than lovely girl in the wine tasting room staff ignored you, sat in the bar for drinks and snacks and were totally ignored.
Stunning location, exquisite chateaux, sublime food & wine.
Having to leave! And no tiles in the pool - it’s lined with plastic. It’s a stunning location though amongst the vines…
Beautiful setting - very calm and peaceful. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Bedrooms dated - very clean and comfortable, but in need of refurbishing.
Good reaction from staff when room originally assigned proved impractical. Lovely hotel, in beautiful setting. Dinner in the courtyard was wonderful. Gardens are delightful. Good breakfast.
Setting is beautiful and peaceful
Menu limiting and expensive, better choices 8km away
Splendid location and lovely pool. Great Gardens.
Service at dinner was rushed and forgetful. We left our passports in the safe realising after a two hour drive. We found they had been discovered earlier but no effort was made to contact us.
Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to make proper use of the pool area. The hotel a grounds are beautiful and the staff friendly and efficient. Nice evening meal at the restaurant.
