- We absolutely loved this hotel, the rooms were large and comfortable and the staff great. The restaurant served quality food to the point where we invited friends there for a meal the next night. Overall this is definitely a hotel where we would stay again.
- The hotel looked good, was very well situated, had a very good restaurant and the staff were always very helpful. The owner even gave us a lift to meet a friend in a neighbouring village when he couldn’t find a taxi!
- Restaurant. Close to train station

Room felt like hostel.
Everything went smoothly.I thought it was delightful. The staff were very nice. The food was delicious. The room confortable.A very good experience !
Nothing to declare.
Staff were very friendly. Stored bicycles for us with no fuss. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and again staff were very friendly and good service. Room was basic, clean with a good bed was excellent, had a great nights sleep.
The occupant of a neighbouring room decided to hold very loud phone calls late at night, not the hotels problem but frustrating.
Basic furnishings but very comfortable and good value
Nothing to not like, but a kettle and two cups would make the stay 10/10
Lovely stay. We even stayed an extra night. Clean, comfortable and perfect position in the centre of town. Thank you
The location and restaurant are excellent.
No air-conditioning on a very hot day and no train station transfers.
The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The hotel had much more 'character' than might be expected from a 'chain' hotel. I only had one evening meal there and it was excellent. The breakfast choices were also wide ranging and nutritious. There was a friendly atmosphere among both guests and staff. Breakfast times were very convivial, which I found very welcome as a lone traveller. I had some problems with a bike I'd hired - which were rectified by the hirer the next day - and was impressed how guests tried to help me with those. The hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere.
I found the shower difficult to operate initially but soon got the hang of it. There wasn't a great deal to dislike. I very much enjoyed my stay and found the people in the town itself very warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as the hotel staff.
The location is excellent. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was updated and easy to use.
All good.
The room was comfortable and the hotel was in a central location.
They were doing renovations which would have been good to know before hand as I would have chosen another hotel. I had to open my windows in the middle of the night a few times to air out the strong smell of paint which was giving me a head rush. I had to walk through a construction site to get to my room and the restaurant was closed. I arrived late and chose the hotel based on the fact that I was going to have dinner there too. I would have just liked to know at least that there were renovations happening, or given some compensation on the high price of the room for the inconvenience.
In its present state nothing
Hotel is going through a refurbishment bar and restaurant closed and entrance plus reception being renovated plus hotel smell of paint
Excellent location. Upgrade room was large and comfortable
Hotel is undergoing extensive building repairs. This work has closed the Restaurant and put the skeleton staff under pressure. A keypad door lock engages at 7pm!! So when I returned after seeking a restaurant at 7.30 I was locked out with no staff inside. Eventually got back in at 8.30 and found code. Breakfast next day although booked was unstaffed with no cold milk and lukewarm coffee. Ugh!
Service was very friendly and helpful, the room was quite large, and so many wonderful things to see in the immediate neighbourhood
food was okay and thus over-priced and frankly, my cottage pie is way better than what I was served as such.
We didn’t have breakfast, it was very central .
A kettle in the rooms would be nice with cups and coffee/tea sachets !
The host, waitress from Sint Maarten. She was exceptional. Any hotel should have a host like her. Surprisingly good was diner, and for a fair price. Nice to be able to park the bikes in the garage aswell.
The room was not too good, the ceiling in the bathroom good use some paint to restore some older damage, and the chairs were really too old. Strange that there was not something like simple soap to wash our hands/faces after a day cycling. We had room 1 on the front side, with unfortunatly rather loud guests on the terrace untill 0000 h. Hotel should avoid this situation.
Excellent food, friendly staff, nice ambience. Attractive town, wished we had more time for exploring. Good value
It was very hot and no air-con but otherwise very comfortable.
central to restaurants, pubs and supermarkets, easy to find and parking
Attractive hotel. centrally located.
Given a ground floor room. Weather was hot but with no air conditioning or a fan we had to open a window. The window opened directly onto the street offering no privacy or security especially at night. in the night a cat climbed into our room!very unhappy with the room which was dark and hot.
Right in the heart of town. Funky room with lots of nooks and crannies, timbers sticking out of walls, lots of space. Good breakfast. Good restaurant.
Shower dangerous - over slippery tub and no grab bars, leaked lots of water on floor.
