Quality establishment

We arrived around 17:00hrs and the bar and restaurant were closed and as it was Sunday there was nowhere open in Chateaubourg either. Our only option was an Uber McDonalds delivery, and that cost 40:00 Euros for 2 burgers. Not the hotel's fault but very disappointing. Had we known, we would have booked elsewhere.

Only problem was outside walk of about 50 yards, difficult if it was raining

Nice modern and stylish interior to a characterful building. Room was clean and comfortable. Good location and nice grounds around the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was great too, food was excellent.

The setting of the hotel is beautiful.

The facility of a kettle or coffee machine would have been great , We had a room with a small terrace, a little table and two outside chairs would have made it perfect. I would not mind paying a little more for the room rate if these facilities were added.

I was very disappointing by the room with its 80s decor, old carpet and sparse furniture. The hallways spelled strongly of cleaning products, and the little outside space didn't offer any furniture. I left a day early, preferring to waste my money and not my time.

The grand old building straddling the mill race was serene and very relaxing. Dinner over looking the water lilies was Monnetesque.

No aircon and a bit noisy at night with rushing of water through the mill.

Fabulous old mill building, with relaxing running water and amazing art display in the grounds.

Dinner in restaurant was good, however on consecutive nights it was almost the same menu.

No opening window in the ground floor room (other than the patio doors).2 chairs on the terrace would have been nice.

Set in beautiful parkland with arts exhibition throughout the grounds. Quiet. Friendly staff. Very good restaurant.

Rooms a little basic in park building and no kettle.

The hotel is in wonderful surroundings. Almost like a park. Many sculptures are present. It was peaceful and tranquil with ample car parking.

The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate for a solo traveller.

Breakfast wasn’t great value with no hot options (other than an egg)

Unable to take our young dog in the restaurant, asked to leave him in the room ,which wasn’t acceptable,if they had an area off the restaurant which allowed us to have or dog with us that would have been good

The grounds are beautiful, very tranquil. Rooms were basis’ but clean with comfy beds. We have stayed before and great for us for our stop over. Parking on site too was great with lovely breakfast

I gave the maximum "very happy" score because our evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. ex

Room 16. A bigger bed would have be nice. Air conditioning is required as the room was very warm.

excellent location, beautiful garden, quiet, in the city, but like in nature

spiders, a lot of spiders, no one worried about them and didn’t really clean them up, they were everywhere, in the Hall, on the stairs, in the room

Location was great. Breakfast was good. Restaurant for the evening meal (on site) was exceptional and really made our detour to stay there worthwhile.

A kettle in the room. We had a small bottle of water to share in our room. There should have been access to a kettle in the communal area, but as it wasn't fixed, someone moved the kettle for their own use!
