Pros +
- The room was musty and shabby and did not smell good. Food in the restaurant was not good. Would not recommend. Location near motorway is convenient and gardens to walk the dog is nice.
- Beautiful location, comfortable beds, very good restaurant, the dog is welcome, nice and helpful staff, close to the highway.
- Pleasant staff
Cons -
- I cannot think of anything.
- Hotel corridors lights on timer but too dark to see switch easily. The room decor was old and poor. The bathroom had no window, 3 lights only over the basin but one bulb dead. No light in the shower behind a solid wall so very dark. Extractor fan did not work so mould on the wall and ceiling. Plaster around the shower was swelling with damp and salt crystals. Shower handset worked but rain shower did not work. Pillows smelt manky. Had booked a further night later but cancelled it. Never again.
- Restaurant was closed but found an adequate pizza machine about 3km away

Close to the auto route I’m lovely rural location
Restaurant was closed but found an adequate pizza machine about 3km away
Stayed many times, but this trip disappointing. Mainly due to lack of staff. It’s a good stop over, beautiful from the outside.Food very good, dinning room sad
No staff, waited at reception for 15 mins, until found overworked staff member. Main restaurant closed, food served in conference room. No comfort. No staff serving bar. Pool table broken
Plenty of parking, ground floor location of room with patio doors to carpark was handy. We had a good meal in the evening but had to look for restaurant which was located separatley.
Hotel was understaffed, difficult to find anyone at times, room was in need of refurbishment, no tea or coffee making facilities in room, If returning in the evening, sometimes found ourselves locked out.
good evening meal. good location for our means. good parking area.
Hotel playing at being an hotel. seemed under staffed. Hotel was dated and in need of refurbishment. coming back to hotel in early evening meant one had to call a mobile number to get them to open the door for you to get in.
Convenient to Autoroute
Someone at reception Had to change rooms New room dark cold no decent pillows bird mess on window sill as it was left open show head not adjustable and dirty bed needed new mattress carpet and chairs need lot of attention Show spray leaks onto floor and damaged the plastered wall Corridor carpet is tired and not a good first impression Finally went to pay bill and someone had charged drinks to our room
Breakfast was fine our room was clean and situated overlooking trees with a small table & two chairs outside to enjoy the peace of the rural country side. Relaxing after a long drive.
Unfortunately , our evening dinner was spoilt ( the food was excellent) but the hosts allowed guests to bring their pet dogs (2) into a rather small dining area , the smell of them drifted across to our table together with them barking / and one scratching ! It was unhygienic , we requested to eat outside ,the host made us up a table
A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room had doors out to a patio and the garden - great to sit out and to be able to take the dog out early morning. The bed was comfy, the shower was good, and there was a hairdryer. Easy parking, near to our room. A good location near Niort on our travels back from Portugal. We had a very good meal in the adjoining restaurant - beautifully presented and very tasty. We had the three course set menu which was too much for us but still lovely. We didn't have breakfast as too full from the night before.
It would have been good to have a kettle / coffee making facilities. On the website it said that the pool was open from 1st of April, but when we arrived we were told it didn't open until June. A shame as it is an indoor pool and I was looking forward to a swim.
We used the pool which was nice. The onsite independent restaurant was very good.
Aircon would have been nice but there was a large fan in the room.
The room was modern functional and spotlessly clean. Small private terrace leading to large communal gardens. Indoor swimming pool excellent. Handy for A10. Large car park. Ideal stopover hotel on route to south of France. Great hotel.
Independent restaurant on site was expensive (70 Euro for three courses) although food and atmosphere were fabulous.
Lovely setting and good facilities, the bedroom was comfortable with a little terrace.
Lighting very dim, even in bathroom, which wasn't practical and could be improved.
Beautiful place, comfortable and tastefully decorated room with very welcoming and helpful proprietors and staff. Restaurant at venue, although not linked was superb
Maintenance work being carried out in pool area but not a problem
The property is delightful; the bathrooms surprisingly modern; and the restaurant (on the property but separately managed) was really excellent.
There was a general feeling that the property as a whole had seen better days. The pool area was not all enticing. The rooms had been modernised but in somber grey - which with poor lighting - felt rather depressing.
Friendliness of the staff & superb location
The fact we only had one night
Just off the autoroute, well appointed rooms, great restaurant on site, very friendly and helpful staff, pet friendly
Breakfast room a bit noisy
Beautiful idyllic French chateau with rustic charm. The bed was comfortable & the property was dog friendly, with lovely grounds to walk.
Property location and layoutRestaurant
1. Musty / Stale smell in bedroom.2. Cold Room, no heating.3. Only 1 x set of towels, extremely small
Very clean comfortable room.Excellent location just off the autoroute.Helpful staff.Very good independent restaurant on site.
