Lovely location and quiet. Excellent dinner.

Breakfast poor value. 11 euros each for very limited choice and very much left to your own devices. Just told it’s there!

Beautiful food in the restaurant. Reasonable prices too.Staff were very good.

Prices for drinks were very expensive.

We had a meal in the evening on arrival and it was excellent. The food was a good example of French food and I would visit again just for the food. Breakfast was also very good.

Tea and coffee facilities were not provided in the room, though there were facilities for tea and coffee next to the reception.

Lovely situation by the lake. Very peaceful. Friendly staff. Good value restaurant with excellent food.

The room felt a bit tired, but I believe they are undergoing a program of renovations.

The hotel did not look at all like the pictures provided. It is incredibly tired and old fashioned. Both rooms provided smelled badly of smoke. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. The pool was clean but smelled very musty. There was no menu provided for an evening meal. Drinks were available in the evenings but we had to drink them outside as they shut the seating area.

Breakfast was very good,Location superb.We were that happy that we booked a visit on our return home. When we are next in the area we would hope to be able t o stay again. Very good value for money.

Lodging here was fantastic. I didn't make much use of the facilities duevto the 4 day march of Chantonnay, but the bed was comfy, the food nourishing and the staff friendly, which all contributed to finishing that dreaded 172km march! I had originally booked it with the intent to use the pool, which looked lovely, but after 8 hours+ walking I couldn't bring myself to go to the pool. From a distance it looked great however!

We were offered a double ebdded room that as I am very tall was unsuitable. they changed this quickly - no problem but charged me for the twin. Restaurant for dinner at this time of the year is very limited, we ate out.

site for us on our way to Brittany from the Dordogne was good, particularly as we were meeting friends who live quite close to Chantonnay. The heating in the room could have been better.

We love this lakeside hotel - so tranquil! The restaurant has great food and prices and the staff are lovely. We found this hotel by accident the first time, but came back a second time because it was tranquil and dog-friendly.

The bed was a little hard, but it was only 1 night so it was fine. They gave us a balcony because it was off season, so we could sit and look at the lovely view.

Comfortable, lived-in establishment with very friendly, helpful staff, situated just off the motorway. There was a indoor pool and breakfast/lunch/dinner was available on the terrace overlooking the lake. Buffet breakfast was good. Food was good with great pizzas. while we were there early/mid Sept it was very quiet (perfect). Pleasant walk to nearest town and facilities. Plenty of off-road parking. Comfy beds, good shower, spacious bedroom with balcony

A hidden gem located next to a river.Very quiet spot, the room was small and out dated but with a very comfortable bed.

This was our second stay and we returned particularly as we had enjoyed the heated indoor pool after a journey. The pool was closed on our 2nd visit.we had also really enjoyed sitting with a drink and coffee on the terrace overlooking the lake.on the second visit the hotel had removed all the terrace furniture so we could not sit outside and enjoy the lake on a beautiful day.

Absolutely everything, stunning location, excellent food & even though there was little English spoken we all managed to communicate without issue. Fabulous find ?

The views were great.

The walls are paper thin so we didn’t sleep very well due to noise. Also, the internet is terrible and there’s hardly any signal (so we couldn’t use our phones either).

Lovely location with beautiful view of lake and forest opposite. Easy parking and elevator access to rooms and reception straight from car park. Hotel lovely and clean. Staff all friendly and work together as an efficient team. Food excellent quality and varied menu. Pizzas fresh and very tasty. Lovely veranda to sit outside and view lake with covered swimming pool to have a refreshing dip. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

All good with smiles all round.
