    Pros +

    • It is a little out of the way, like many places I find. It is worth every minute IT was one of our highlight stays in F
    • This hotel sets in an 18th century chateau, with numerous lands surrounding, the three of us had had a bicycle tour to explore there. The chateau itself was so beautiful and well maintained, The furniture and deco are all antique. The young host told us that he's the 7th generation running this hotel. We booked dinner and the next morning breakfast, both meals were very good, especially the buffet style breakfast, lots of food choices, all fresh and delicious!
    • The sightseeing is so beautiful.Everyone in the chateau is nice. Arnud, the owner of.the.chateau,.is so so so friendly.

    Cons -

    • I have stayed in a lot of chateaus in France. This was the most beautiful privately owned one. We were the only ones there for that night. The family juggles their family and daily life nicely. It has been in their family for generations. We told them at the last minute that we would eat dinner there. They set up a table for 2 in their living room in front of the fire and served us dinner there. The house is impressive. they isn’t an inch that doesn’t shout luxury. The owner took time showing us around the house and about the work they have done to keep up the maintenance. The breakfast was amazing in their beautiful dining room.
    • We loved everything there!
    • It’s not a hotel in the classic sense of the word.

Beautiful chateau. Arnaud and the staff were friendly and professional. Lovely food. Good wine. Stunning setting. Also dog friendly. What more can you ask for?

It’s not a hotel in the classic sense of the word.

Excellent and exceptional service. The family running the Chateau knows the art of fine living and dining. The appointed bedrooms in the chateau are as if in fairy tale - super comfortable beds, amazing pillows, great decor. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, delicious and an amazing experience. We feel very fortune to have been able to stay for the second time in the dreamy property. The silence and peace is to be treasured.....and if gazing at stars is your thing .....a dream! Our children enjoyed the tennis court and swimming pool to its maximum. Dinner time was a French dream! Merci!

I am very impressed by how the castle is maintained, with respect for traditions and with attention to details. We stayed in the annex, and were lucky to have it for ourselves. What a luxury! The garden, the swimming pool, the tennis court, everything was beautiful and in perfect condition. We also enjoyed a very good breakfast. Thank you for a very special experience!

Beautiful family’s chateau near Anger, run by the owners, well maintained and authentic. They upgraded our room on arrival.

Absolutely incredible place...beautifully kept expansive grounds with a working orange grove, multiple lovely buildings set in the French countryside. This is a completely renovated chateau with most of the original decor but with all the modern conveniences. The host, Arnaud, is very welcoming and accommodating and the breakfast and dinner are not to be believed. We booked this place not having any idea what a find it would turn out to be. Bed unbelievably comfortable, room super quiet...I could go on and on...

A very beautiful chateau with glorious rooms downstairs. The owner was very welcoming as was the woman who served our meals. The meal in the evening was exceptional and the breakfast superb.

I didn’t like the pillows, but my husband did! Fortunately I travel with my own as my neck needs it to be just right.

The place is magnificent, elegant and very well kept. The owner as well as all the staff made us feel comfortable and at home. The room that I stayed was in the Chateaux, fantastic view over the grounds, big bathroom and all that you need, from a small fridge, iron, to a hair dryer. The dining room and the way they set the table for dinner and breakfast were informal with an exquisite elegance touch. Food was great!Thank you Arnaud and all the staff!!

    Not stayed long enough…..

This is my first time to stay in a French chateau and yet feeling very homely. The owner is very hospitable. The breakfast and dinner are nice. The surrounding area is very calm and peaceful. It's a good stopover to rest between driving Loire Valley and Mont Saint Michel.

This place is perfect for a bit of rest and recuperation. It is so peaceful and it is like staying with friends in a stately home. The family are so welcoming, the furnishings are lavish, the food is superb and the self service bar is relaxed and easy to use. We had a day by the superb pool, and loved the grounds. All the staff were amazing.

This is a luxurious stay without a doubt and good value, however adding on dinner and breakfast and wine it does make it a little bit pricey. But my goodness it is worth it.

Extra special experience Stunning chateau and grounds with loads for family’s to do wish we could have stayed longer definitely need 2 nights Arnold made us feel very welcome with his relaxed friendly style and dinner was delicious made with fresh produce . Daughter loved pool which was so quiet .

    10GaryPosted on: 8-24-2023

This is a family-owned chateau and you feel privileged to be invited into their home! The welcome was warm and the chateau is stunning. However, the restaurant is ‘out of this world’. The food is exceptional - dishes freshly prepared based on what is in season. We were only booked for one night and arrived just in time for dinner (due to the long trip from Bordeaux, stopping for a tour of the St Nazaire ship yard) - two nights are a minimum to take in the quiet, relaxing, exquisite surroundings and the wonderful company.

From the minute you drove up the drive, you could tell this place was special. Charming property, charming welcome. We were only there for one night but lots to do in that time from riding around the grounds, going to the lovely swimming pool, playing tennis, trampolining and a lovely dinner at the Chateau that evening.

    10SarahPosted on: 7-31-2023

A magical experience. Arnold made us feel like visiting friends more than hotel guests. the building is like a time capsule, we felt like we had travelled back in time to a simpler time. We were instantly relaxed and enjoyed the entire space as much as we could. Our little dog Freddie 100% agrees.

Should have stayed longer that 2 nights. We will be back.
