    Pros +

    • Good location.
    • Central hotel, very good breakfast.Spacious room with nice balcony.
    • It's good for 1 night stay. I slept through the entire night as I was so tired from traveling. They accept pets. The staff is nice.

    Cons -

    • All was ok, but there were small things like water leak in toilet and bathroom that could have been easily fixed but they were not.
    • A little bit dusty bathroom
    • The bed was without a sheet below the covering sheet or it was too small for the bed because when I woke up in the morning I was laying on the mattress which was entirely covered in huge lint balls. The AC and the mini bar fridge were not working. The air in the room was stuffy and we left the windows opened through the entire night and it was still too hot. In the morning we received a poor breakfast - I was surprised to be asked what I want to eat for breakfast and given no options except fried egg bread with marmalade. Don't take me wrong - I loved it but the next table had plates with eggs and salad also.

The hotel was old but within an easy walking distance of everything in the town. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom was very small (a little over a metre square) and the shower was not enclosed so it sprayed water over everything.

We liked the location, the nice small town, the building and the nice old style rooms. Great food.

There is no actual shower tub în the bathroom, and the water gets everywhere on the bathroom floor....for a longer stay, this could be an inconvenient.

We stayed at this hotel during our visit of Melnik. We rented three rooms for our family. The hotel is one of these typical old Bulgarian houses, right in the center of Melnik. The inside and the rooms have been updated. We could park our car directly in front of the hotel down on the street. We totally enjoyed the French Toast that the host made in the morning for breakfast, together with fresh Bulgarian feta cheese, home-made jam and fresh coffee. The location is very quiet, so you can sleep with open windows.

    Nothing, all good.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was spaciius and comfortable, very clean. We got a very good breakfast.

    Everything was perfect!

Excellent food! The rooms were a little bit stuffy when we arrived, but it was ok after we opened the windows.

The location is perfect, the rooms are ok for the price, breakfast is also ok (not superior but fine), the town itself is amazing. I saw a lot of hotels and this one is good for the town and the price. If I'll be there once again, most probably I'll choose this hotel.

I'd say it worth doing some renovation, all the things are not new. It isn't a big problem, just a perception. Actually, from a functional point of view all was good, no complains. Just align your expectation with the fact that Melnik is a quite tiny town and there are no 5-star hotels at all. Also, actually there is no dedicated parking, you just park your car on the streets near the place. However, it works pretty well :)

    Location was good

My room overlooked the restaurant and was very noisy.

Very nice hotel, friendly personal, very good breakfast and meals

Every evening a little bit noisy

The room we selected was a two room apartment, which gave us plenty of room to spread out for reading and working while there. The hotel was right in the center of town and an easy walk to everything. The host was very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included with our rooms. They offered a choice of cooked breakfast selections, and the second day we had homemade banitsa, a Bulgarian specialty. Theirs was delicious.

Good location , breakfast good too

Not very clean ( the floor was full of sand and the furniture was dusty )

Great location for exploring Melnik. Friendly staff - went above and beyond when it came to advice, recommendations & arranging transfers etc. Comfortable beds. Was a great trip!

We enjoyed the amount of space in the suite, and that it had very efficient air conditioning. The bed was moderately comfortable.

It was the worst breakfast we have experienced anywhere in the world. Mekitsi tough- how can that happen? Inferior sirene and watery jam. Only to be topped by the undrinkable coffee and we had to pay for each coffee we had from the machine behind the counter. Then there were the flies and the uncovered meat. We declined breakfast on the second morning only to enjoy our breakfast at the closest OMV garage, with smiley and helpful staff! The bathroom had mould all around the bath and handbasin. Two old bits of soap, half used toilet rolls, no shampoo conditioner and no hairdryer. No kettle as advertised. Pillows were lumpy.Unfortunately, we also booked a table in the restaurant on our first evening ….. average to poor in all respects, especially the Pork in mushroom sauce and French fries, which was a few French fries, covered in what seemed to be a barely reconstitute packed of mushroom soup and a few bits of meat, which we were assured was at sometime in the past a pig! The homemade wine was however, quite good.

Good location, top of the Main Street and walking distance to local attractions. Parking outside on the street was fine. Lovely clean and spacious apartment room, with excellent breakfast. Good service. Good wifi. We enjoyed Melnik - good restaurants, lovely monastery walks, interesting local wine and wineries..

Would have been nice to be able to make own tea and coffee, but that’s a minor point.

Charming local hotel, well located for the variety of activities we wished to undertake. Good breakfast, and the host arranged transport for us to our next stay.
