Katarino SPA Hotel

The food was excellent! The room was clean and good temperature for winter. The pools were clean and warm. The staf was kind and helpful!

Staff is very nice, very polite, rooms and facilities are clean and neat, restaurant food is very good , even the coffe is good ( maybe the desserts quality and taste could be improved a bit)

Only one small outdoor pool out of the summer period , the stove in the relax zone was never on fire

Food and scenery

Big spiderwebs in both rooms. Pools are tiny but deep. No baby pool and no pool for the kids.

Spa area and staff are excellent, we tried several treatments from the spa menu - top-class quality of service. Buffet is outstanding for both breakfast and dinner.

Service is one of the best in Bulgaria.Stunning view from the room terrace to Pirin Mountain chains, so we enjoyed our morning coffee.Location is great.

What impressed me the most was how friendly, yet professional the staff is. Above and beyond! The hotel itself is pretty well maintained. The rooms aren’t spacious and the view is fantastic. The spa is also good and offers a decent variety. The food selection is also very good.

Towels were quite worn.

I liked a lot the food, all dishes were very tasty, nothing was missing from the dinner's menu, big variety of dishes. Nice variety of breads and salads!

At dinner i would have appreciated at least a bottle of water from the house, we came with child and when asked in the 1st day a bottle of water the waiter brought us the most expensive one (we should have looked into the menu but still, i did not like the approach). Only few employees know EN language, but even like that the housekeeping staff was very helpful.

Food has always been very good here. Most of the staff was nice and welcoming. In general it was a pleasant stay.

Rooms are in desperate need of soundproofing. We were with a young toddler who could not fall asleep due to noise coming from rooms next to us. It is clear that other guests could be very inconsiderate and therefore the solution is better soundproof of rooms. Massage procedure was not bad but could definitely be better for this hotel.

The food had a lot of variety which we enjoyed and it was very tasty. The had "real" fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning and a lot more food options than we were used to with many natural alternatives. The shuttle buses to the sky resort were quick and came by often (every hour).

The smell in the smaller steam room was not pleasant, as well as the outside pool entrance that connected to the interior pool. I think maybe some ventilation system should alleviate the foul smelling condensation at the pool entrance. Other than that everything was perfect, thank you for a great stay.

I had an amazing stay! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a breathtaking view of the mountains. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, perfect for a great night’s sleep.The spa area was absolutely fantastic—everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel. But the highlight for me was the heated outdoor pool. Relaxing in warm water while admiring the snowy peaks around me was simply magical.A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Bansko. Can’t wait to come back!

The only downside was that the room was too warm, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable at times.

The hotel was amazing they let us have breakfast even when we were earlier from our check in and they found us room so we didn’t have to wait till noon.The spa was very clean also.The hotel provides bus transfer to the ski area which was so convenient for us not to take the car.

Confortable, good SPA facilities, good food

Kids run wild. The personal should tell parents to control their kids. In covered parking some waterly infiltrations stain my car.

I would highly recommend this hotel! The outstanding feature that makes it truly special, aside from the beautiful and magnetic view of the mountains, is the hotel staff—especially the breakfast team. During my stay, I had to leave for skiing at 7:30 AM and was always in a hurry for a quick coffee before heading out, as breakfast wasn’t open yet. However, one of the waitresses—whose name I wish I had caught—made me feel so welcome and encouraged me to grab a quick breakfast. She truly made the start of my day wonderful!Without a doubt, they have the best staff I’ve ever encountered in hotels across Bulgaria. The food was really good too!

The room was spacious, and we had a wonderful mountain view from the balcony. The pool was amazing. The indoor playground is not very large, but it's well equipped. The variety of foods for breakfast and dinner was amazing, and the food was tasty. There were parking spots available in front of the hotel. The TV had Netflix and YouTube without ads.

We had trouble getting the TV-remote to work. The rooms could use some soundproofing.

Entertainment options for children and adults. The pool is nice.The local food was great.

Beautiful view, excellent food and welcoming staff. SPA facilities - spacious, clean and also positioned with great views. Many opportunities for indoor entertainment without leaving the hotel.

Location is good and convenient, just 10 mins with a car from Bansko.

Our bathroom reeked of urine, I suspect it had something to do with the drain located on the bathroom floor. I thought it was only our room but it was the same in the women's and men's bathroom down in the indoor pool area. It was actually unbearable at certain points. The carpet in the room was stained on multiple places. There is no local temperature control in the rooms so if you're too hot, you'll have to sleep with the windows open - if you're cold, good luck. The outside pool was closed for winter but the small pool that connects to the indoor one was full with leaves and dead flies. There was a weird smell going around in the spa area. The food was somewhat tasteless, the first night I got pasta bolognese and it literally tasted like watered down bland tomato and nothing else... The prices are absolutely insane, you pay for drinks during dinner and it was 8.50 BGN for a bottle of water! What hotel doesn't offer free water for the half-board guests??? They refused to serve me Aperol Spritz during dinner because "I can only order that from the lobby bar"?! I got a single Aperol Spritz at the pool bar for 26 BGN!!! The waiters were constantly trying to take our plates away and it was extremely annoying, they also try to get you to order drinks multiple times even if you don't want any (I guess because they are paid extra). There is a bowling alley available only if you pay - 30 BGN for a single game! Overall, it's ridiculously expensive for what it is and what it offers - save your money and go somewhere else. Selling diamonds in the lobby while your bathrooms smell like piss is crazy. We will not be returning.

The place is nice and has all the amenities comfort wise.Rooms are spacious, and pools and steam rooms are nice too.Lots of different massages and procedures available.

Sound proofing does not exist between rooms. You can hear absolutely everything.There was no program or any entertainment other than bowling and a pool table. The piano bar was closed, and it was kind of dead. i signed up for an expensive massage and throughout the procedure the masseuse was trying to cross sell me on another procedure which I didn't want, and I probably had to say I'm not interested seven different ways which totally kills the relaxation in the massage.

Excellent place to spend a relaxing weekend. SPA facilities were nice, especially the outdoor pools. Food was great, as well as service.
