SPA Hotel Medicus

The staff are very polite and pleasant, both at the reception and in the restaurant. The water in the spa area was clean.

The SPA zone was pretty good and the food was delicious although there wasn't a very big variety of meals.

Soap holders could be placed next to the shower.

The hotel has a good location and the staff at reception were polite, but most of them did not speak English at all.

I had higher expectations from a hotel listed as 4-star, but the experience fell well below standard. The air conditioning in our room did not function during the night, which was particularly uncomfortable given the location on the top floor. Adding to this, the elevator only reached the floor below ours, so we had to use the stairs with luggage every time we returned to the room.Essential in-room items such as toiletries and amenities were missing upon arrival, and we needed to request them at reception — something that should be standard in a 4-star property. Breakfast was perhaps the weakest point: the food lacked flavor, trays were not replenished promptly, and guests often waited up to 30 minutes only for items to be finished again in minutes.The balcony attached to our room had no chairs, which made it impractical to use. These issues combined left an impression of poor management and a lack of attention to guest comfort. With improvements in maintenance, service, and dining organization, this hotel could meet the 4-star expectations it advertises — but currently, it does not.

Nice big room. Good views. Comfortable. Close to the centre. Good spa facilities. Great massage. Clean indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Dinner was very nice and the table service excellent. All staff were really nice. Private parking

Breakfast was a good choice but everything that was supposed to be hot was very cold and we were first in at 8am

The rooms were big and there was a big balcony with a view. The food was tasty. The staff was great.

There were not many additional choices for dinner. And the biggest inconvenience for us was that the bill had to be 20+ BGN in order to be paid with card.

The noise inside the room was horrific . We could not get any sleep. We will never go backCrowded spa and outdated decor

Most of the staff were polite and hospitable. We are thankful for the positive service of most. The rooms were relatively clean.

The facilities and services were not of a four-star hotel. According to the current condition of the hotel and its services, it is more likely to be a two-star hotel. Toiletries and hygiene products were given only upon asking the receptionists, else not initially provided. Dust in the room, not emptying the trash bins. The massage room where we have had an appointment with the masseuse, was firstly, not accommodating for a relaxing treatment (no music, or aesthetic outlook/representation of the room or the masseuse herself), secondly, there has been a renovation just next door, meaning the noise ruined even the slightest positive experience which was gained from the massage. The restaurant is not living up to the standards- the quality of the products was poor despite the relative diversity of options provided.

We liked the food, personal stuff, the swimming pool is very good. Everyone was very kindly.

Nobody tell us dinner reservations make by website before you came in the restaurant.

The staff is very friendly. The room was very quiet with comfortable bed.The hotel is located close to the city center and to a park.The deserts in the dinner menu were very delicious.

The quality and diversity of meals were disappointing. The swimming pool is not very big. The cleanness of the bathrooms and the spa is not on good level.

The infrared sauna was good

The facilities were old , the windows couldn’t fully close, especially uncomfortable in the winter ? the towels had a bad smell

Dinner was not very good.

I've been in Medicus many times and I loved it every time. The things I particularly enjoy are: the crystal clear water of the outside pool, the spectacular views of the mountain that you could get to see from your balcony and the hotel's very central location.

However, this time the negatives outweighed the positives.First of all, you have no option(unlike before) but to choose half board, which understandably sky rockets the price of your room, especially if you are a family. And here comes the major issue - for the price I paid, I would expect a bit more. A few things to mention- the cleanliness of my apartment was questionable. When we entered the room, it smelt weirdly more like smoke but smoking is forbidden, so who knows. I had to ask for toilet paper as there wasn't any, and for duvet covers to cover ourselves during the night as we didn't have spare ones for the second bed, either. I was under the impression that the sofa bed was sorted in the rush without considering that it doesn't fit 2 people(2 adults+2 NOT young children in the apartment).The shower was too high and not movable, meaning you couldn't angle it in any direction, so it just kept splashing water everywhere. Overall, the room looked and felt a bit tired, and so did the breakfast, and this is the first time I have experienced this in Medicus.

Location, the swimming pool and the stuff were great. The outdoor restaurant in front of the swimming pool is a nice place to have a rest or to enjoy the meal. The swimming pool was cleaned every evening and the water was brilliant clean.

The apartment wasn't respond to our expectation. It was clean, but the air-condition didn't work properly, there were a small windows and no terrace. It was impossible to open to take some fresh air

Staff couldn't handle an event with many people plus the standard dinner for the guests

Room was spacious and clean, dinner was delicious and breakfast too. SPA was excellent. Neighbourhood was quite and view was spectacular from the balcony.

The scenery was noce on the drove to the hotel

The food arrived at the table barely cold so i just left it. The staff were not helpful, no assistance offered to help with luggage. Did not sell any snacks and made a point to tell me snacks were not allowed in the room, air conditioning did not work and no fan was available. Moldy shower

Quiet location near the park and city centre with free parking; very clean; nice restaurant, great swimmingpool, goog spa; comfortable beds, spacious rooms with enough storage space and grate view to the mountain or to the ancient plane trees; grate place for bikeriding and good bikes.

The hot water - it takes time before the hot water flows; There was a hole in one of the curtains and a damage on one of the doors - I got the impression that a kid had been playing with a sword in the room.
