    Pros +

    • The hotel is quite outdated and could really use a full renovation, but on the other hand, it has a certain charm and soul that make it special. I stayed just one night, but what I got for the price was perfectly reasonable.
    • - the location of this hotel is in a very beautiful place. - good choice of food
    • Our stay at Hotel Hvar was wonderful. We chose the All-Inclusive option and loved the food. At each meal, we could choose from a great variety of freshly prepared and tasty dishes. Our joined rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The location is fantastic. We walked to different beaches in the vicinity and the town of Jelsa is close by and is stunning. We found the staff very friendly and professional. A special thanks to Nikola the barman and the wonderful team in the dining room who were fast to take care of us and willing to stop for a chat. All in all, the staff made our stay extra special. Thank you.

    Cons -

    • - Old rooms, with old scratched furniture and dirty walls. Everything is old and dirty.- The sockets in the room do not meet safety standards. It seems as if I will now take out the charger and the socket will simply fall out.- In a 3-star hotel, there is neither shampoo, shower gel, nor disposable cups in the rooms. - For dinner, there was morning sausage, which had a very unpleasant smell.
    • Some of the activity areas such as mini golf, table tennis and the tennis courts could use a bit of work, but other than that, everything was great.
    • We wanted to extended our stay - front desk workers gave us so many wrong information that we were "crazy".Anyone with same situation - use online tools for any change, trust me :-)

Nice position, parking, very quiet…Hotel is dated but nice, maybe little refreshing wouldn’t hurt

Gentleman working night shit at reception. Barely stomached to get of the lobby settee to give me my room keys, dressed like he just came off the street (no hotel attire) , no smile or anything. Really fed up with that kind of attitude lately

Great location. Decent value for the money. Really tired old facilities with limited parking. Staff were friendly but not well trained.

Location was amazing, very close to the beach where you can find very good restaurant and beach bar. Staff was kind and there is a big parking lot where you can park if you travel by car.Hotel lobby was very cozy. Also beds in apartment was comfy.Breakfast was delicious, but pretty much the same every day.

You can see that there was renovation and probably with every next year it will be better to stay here, but rooms was outdated and needed more cleanliness, but our stay was at the end of the season so maybe that was the reason.

Nothing, it is not like any of the images.

Everything! I’ve never seen such a poorly represented stay. Awful from start to finish, the staff were all extremely rude throughout and of no/little help. I was then charged twice for the stay and have not been refunded and told I shan’t be getting my bank charges covered.

    Location and staff

The owners, who should invest more and bring this property to the 21st century. It’s overpriced. Parking was terrible.

    Location was incredible

Overpriced for very run down, shabby hotel. Horrible salty swimming pool in need of refurbishment. Disgusting breakfast so only went once despite it being included. Very shabby unkempt grounds with dead plants everywhere

    8AntoniaPosted on: 8-14-2024

Amazing view, clean sheets, friendly staff but this you should know that this place is HUGE, 244 bedrooms and full - huge families so very busy

    4MarkPosted on: 8-6-2024

The room and sheets were clean

Unfortunately this was entirely our fault as we were looking to stay on Hvar during high season and this was the only place that had availability as we left the booking until too late. The hotel has all the charm of a run down soviet era tower block. Peeling paint, facilities that don’t work and where repairs have been made they are bodge jobs. Little things like the taps being plumbed in the wrong way demonstrate a lack of caring by the staff, which was also demonstrated when we asked a staff member if he wouldn’t mind getting a cloth to clean a beach lounger that had blood on it and he just shrugged and pointed to another one. Breakfast, whilst having a broad range was let down by watery scrambled eggs, undercooked “roast” tomatoes and tinned fruit (this is criminal - the fruit in this country is incredible!). The pool had no shallow end which made it tough for the kids. The price we paid for two nights almost brought me to tears for this. As I said - our fault for booking late, but to be avoided.

    Close to beach

Food for very average, not many options for vegetarian and vegan, content of dishes was not written any where.Towel was not changed during 3 days stay Bar inclusive: bar at restaurant is not inclusive but they kept few drinks on separate table with coffee and other options you need to serve yourself. So basically if you need to make cocktail you need to be expert no one will help you

Firstly, I would like to mention that the staff was very polite and friendly. Secondly, the location of the hotel is fantastic, surrounded by numerous bigger and smaller sea beaches. The distance to the centre of the town is just a short distance. You get what you pay for. This is marked as 3 star hotel and really it is not more. But the room and the food was good quality. The hotel has lots of potential, so hopefully they will invest in basic renovation soon as we would love to come back soon!

front desk was very helpful and friendly. Room and facility clean.Restaurant food was excellent I was surprised how many selection they had and everything was tasty.I noticed that pool bar tables were not getting clean and glasses and bottles were piling. Guests would just move glasses from one table to another. They had assigned personnel there but to me they were not motivated to do much.worst part was to get to the beach and back. Very steep. For price I paid trough booking i would expect newer building .Pillows and mattress in the room were horrible.I honestly could not sleep.Saying all this I can see that stuff did best they could to keep guests comfortable. Whoever is controlling budget invest some money in upgrade and get new beds and pillows .

very bad pillowsbad mattresskeep tables clean in pool bar areahave better description of how steep and hard is to get up and down hill to water. We are people with disability and that was changeling

The staff was very friendly and did their best, but I fear the hotel is severly understaffed. The location is perfect with lots of interesting beaches closeby. Parking is also free.

Breakfast und dinner options were not so diverse, the soups were very artificial and too salty. On most days, the deserts ran out and I saw a lot of people complaining. What bothered me the most was that the plates and cutlery were not properly washed, as there were stains and they were mostly at least partially wet.

    1WaynePosted on: 6-30-2024

It was horrendous- and Booking . com should strike it off their list!!!

It was old, the grounds were in disrepair- the lift was ancient and the breakfast was horrible!
